What the hell does this have to do with this thread?

It has to do with this thread will get more comments over a bad analogy, than all the corruption and child sexing that is going on in the DEM ranks.

The people of this site, like the media in general, loves to cover for the dems.

republican says something stupid==HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Dem traffics guns and send kiddie porn= ........crickets.............

Every GOP strategist should be fired. Instead of trying to repeal the ACA, they should be looking to fix parts they don't like. They could snatch universal healthcare from the Dems and run on that. How can you tell constituents that the way to cheaper healthcare is to go back to the old way?

Because it's socialist and Jesus hates socialism. Duh

All you have to do is let idiots keep talking and they will sink their own ship!

This is nothing new. When talks started about Obama trying to push some form of Obamacare years ago there were pundits and politicians saying Nazi Germany had free healthcare and look how that turned out. Might as well say Obama drinks milk in the morning just like Hitler and we saw what that lead to.

Even Al-Qaeda had free health care. 30 days vacation too.

Today an actual holcaust survivor said she feels like we are headed towards the same fascism of the Nazi era

This is the same genius that said straight folks couldn't get da AIDS.

What the hell does this have to do with this thread?
are you the thread police?

It relates in two very important factors:

1. they are state senators.
2. they did something you (presumably) disapprove of.

Perhaps you missed those relationships.

Generally I would think it quite interesting for those that that want to extrapolate the behavior of politicians at that level to the entire political party and all its voters.

If I could get a nickel for every Nazi reference out there..

Jesus.

Sometimes I see you post and I think, "you know, that guy is okay."

Then you say stuff like this and I have to question whether you're mentally disabled.

Why would you think I agree with this? If anything Obamacare is like the corporatist economic policies of the fascists, not the holocaust.

In other news at least three democratic state senators in california are currently being charged with corruption by the FBI, not the least of which is Leland Yee and his international weapons trafficking operation.

James Keith said:
To answer your question, principles. Psychologically, these can be viewed as social norms that are considered inviolable. It is not a utilitarian argument at all. Examples of such principles might be the sanctity of life (aka right to life), or the wrongness of various acts like slavery or genocide. For some they come from their religion, but everyone has them (people are also often willing to bend them for sufficient selfish benefit but that's another story). In the "free healthcare" thread we are arguing about the appropriateness of property rights as such a principle.

You must use force if need be to protect inviolable principles such as preventing genocide or slavery. Beyond that you should avoid the use of force because now you are violating those principles not protecting them.

You seem to think using force to provide people with healthcare violates the principle that systematic murder is wrong. Have you since abandoned such views?

Did you read the senator's "justification" for his analogy?

In no way was my post meant to diminish or detract from the pain, suffering and loss of human life that occurred during this dark time in human history," he said. "Instead the post was meant to draw attention to the loss of freedom that we are currently experiencing."

Wait, State senator?

If we're going to start paying attention to them, I would like to hear more about Leland Yee-Shrimp Boy fiasco.

Much more interesting.

Uh no that was me trying vainly to explain the concept of a principle to you. And I was probably talking about socialized medicine anyway. Forcing people to pay for things (via labor they wouldn't otherwise choose to do) violates the principle of ownership of yourself.

But thanks for finally providing a link. Now we can see what the guy actually said:

"Democrats bragging about the number of mandatory sign ups for Obamacare is like Germans bragging about the number of manditory sign ups for 'train rides' for Jews in the 40s"

He's not comparing obamacare to anything, he's comparing the bragging about people doing they are forced to do by law. More of a Godwin's law type thing than the Bush-worse-than-hitler type comparisons we enjoyed 8 years of.
