After the severe streaming issues Netflix had last time they wouldn't be my first choice as a platform. I expected more from a tech giant with seemingly unlimited resources. Their global network of ‘Open Connect’ video CDNs should've been able to handle the load for Tyson vs Paul. To be fair live streaming has never really been their focus. OTT-based VOD distribution is their primary business model.
Edit. I thought you said Super Bowl. Nevermind. Yeah, the Christmas Game Day (Chiefs vs Steelers game) did air live but I don't know of many that watched it on NetFlix and I live in Pennsylvania. That was their first huge live streaming test and they definitely didnt pass with flying colors but it also allowed them to identify the problem areas and address them, there were no issues with the NFL game on Christmas Day and they now live stream WWE Raw every Monday night, the WWE numbers are nowhere near the Paul fight, obviously, but it is helping that department become a well oiled machine through constant use so I'd be surprised if the same problems occur next time
Streaming sucks in general, though, so Im sure new problems will arise LoL

Not sure that I buy those numbers. That's almost 10% of the US population allegedly having watched it through Netflix on Christmas Day. Either way, NetFlix doesn't specialize in live streaming. They're mainly an Over-The-Top Video On Demand platform.Well, they did over 30 million viewers so somebody was watching
