Lets ponder two men going at it in the cage or street with this skill set. the art of the 8 limbs vs pure hands and feet >:)

Assuming fighters are similarly skilled?

Muay Thai fighter got clinch, knees, and elbows, but boxer has got good hands, and distancing. Because the clinch is so dangerous, I'd have to give it to the MT guy if he has a good clinch. If not, then I guess it'll go either way.

Martial arts can't fight each other, they're systems, not people. These questions are meaningless and have no answers.

So pretty much kickboxing (shiny pants) vs Muay Thai?

Like HighestHand said, if they're similar skilled, and around A-class+ type fighters, I would give it to the MT guy. Clinch fighting, sweeps, and leg kicks as well. TKD + Boxing usually means a bladed stance of some sort, and that leg is just asking to get chopped.

Leg catch -> sweep or clinch tosses -> ground work / gnp

This is slightly wasteland material, but if you're serious you can find plenty of TKD + boxing vs. MT fights in the UFC. Obviously no one is pure one style.

tkd + boxing, isn't that what MVP does basically? People who do point fighting kickboxing can develop amazing footwork, while boxing is footwork-friendly and you learn to defend against punches properly.

not tkd but karate but cunningham did pretty well against muay thai guys

Muay Thai guy is more used to using both his hands and feet in the same bout.
