TJ....still a poor man's Cruz

I want to see that rematch so bad, 2 phenomenal fighters. As a 20 year old MMA student like me, it`s fascinating to watch those 2 in their art.

WTF? I think he look better than Cruz in his last fight.

He fights nothing like Cruz. Weren't the best fight though

True. I feel Tj's striking is also not up to par with his no hands down ''pro'' stance lol. If he worked basics he could be pretty good

I like TJ, but Rogan's commentary was unbearable. Very close fight, but Rogan was acting like a salesman in favor of TJ, who didn't look that great.

Cruz is one of the greatest point fighters in the history of the sport. Cardio freak and very skilled at dancing away from the action. Not my favorite to watch but easy to appreciate.

TJ for his part has stopping power and is willing to throw with bad intentions.

They had a razor close decision. The rematch is a toss up and there is no good reason to think otherwise.

No. He's better than Cruz. And more complete of a fighter for sure.

His fights are super predictable just like Cruz. I understand the Karate point method of fighting is smart, but it's not aesthetically entertaining

Yeah. But really he doesn't have to be and would still win and lose the same fights. The Cruz esque movements he does doesn't appear to confuse any fighters. He just seems to start shuffling his feet randomly when he's NOT getting hit. When he starts getting hit all that stuff seems to stop until it seems like he just seems to think "let me start shuffling my feet again"

that's why i said a poor man's...

I haven't seen that fight in a while, but I remember once TJ figured out Cruz he started taking it to him.

Wouldn't surprise me if he won the rematch
