News TJ Dillashaw Notifies the UFC of his Retirement

Never a fan of his, but he caused plenty of talked about moments in the BW division, from the upset over the P4P great Barao starting his fall from grace, to all the gym/tuf drama and "dillasnake", to the drug suspension, looking like death to make 125, airport workouts, etc the list just goes on.

I wonder how long it takes for UFC to change the wording from "retirement" to something more ambiguous about "being outside of the testing pool" now that the floodgates of retire-to-roid are being opened - it's not a good public view if everyone and their mother start retiring every time they get an owie and then return looking like Greek Gods and doing the 6 month testing after they have stopped pissing hot.

DJ taking his medical before the AJ fight ... It's sweet dude. Does that sometimes

I think he knew he was ruining his shoulder during the Aljo camp, but probably under estimated the lasting effect it would have. Probably wanted 1 last pay day for a while, and plans for a long break with plenty of "supplements" for recovery. He'll be back in a year, he's too obsessed with fighting.

He's likely doing it to get out of the testing pool.

Well enjoy retirement TJ not the best way to go out but regardless still had a heck of a career.
