Nope, because the shutdown was and continues to be very halfass. If the virus is really dangerous, it would not be ok to go out to eat and take a mask off just as long as you wear it while you walk to the table. I already told you that my 72 year old dad and I have been all over the country and have interacted with thousands of people without masks. Contrary to the narrative, we're totally fine and it's not just because of our great genetics.

How is an incredibly infectious disease transmissible through the air not transmissible through air for BLM riots but it is for political rallies? Is there something about rioting that makes the virus not contagious?

There's more physical contact and accelerated breathing in a riot, one would logically think that should exacerbate the spread.

Logically speaking a riot has much more physical contact and accelerated breathing. Based on the fundamentals of virology and microbiology one would conclude a riot should spread a virus more readily than a political rally. If we're going to against all logic and our fundamental knowledge of virology there must be at least some evidence to support your claim... right?

I'm really sorry for your loss, but nearly every death is now attributed to covid.

Flu rates are way down because covid now takes credit. 600k die every year from respiratory illnesses related to influenza. Also, hospitals in the US get a minimum of $12k per covid death and doctors have complained of being pressured to list it as the cause of death when it wasn't.

I work in the ED (Emergency Dept) in a fairly large hospital in a multi-million person metropolitan. Where are my bonuses for treating/diagnosing covid positive patients? Seeing your multiple memes straight copied from Info Wars forums, I doubt any reasonable explanation I can give will be suffice to convince you this is much deadlier than the flu. There is absolutely zero evidence we get paid for diagnosing covid patients, and I am on several hospital wide committees.

Hospitals are just like any other work place, if there's a country wide push for all hospitals to be "encouraged" to diagnose patients with covid, I have absolutely no doubt, dozens if not hundreds of people would share it all over social media within a day or two. Gossip is everywhere, and it is literally impossible to hide something of this magnitude in the thousands of hospitals across our nation.

If HIPAA was not a concern, I wish those who doubt could see my ED rooms we are temporarily using as inpatient rooms because we are out of beds upstairs. I've had to emergently intubated far more patients this year than previous years. Covid is not a joke and I wish this rumor would go away, it's killing my fellow Americans. From a personal standpoint, my 2nd aunt passed and she had no prior healthy history and no co-morbidities.

Americans are going to be prevented from traveling to other countries for a long time, and it's unfortunate because it's one of the things I miss dearly.

All our respected universities, medical schools, and hospitals are all in agreement about the severity of this issue. I have volunteered to take the vaccine on camera to help ease fears, and I understand others' concerns. But polio and smallpox didn't just disappear on it's own.

I heard just the opposite 2 weeks ago from coach at a bjj gym in Memphis. He coaches part time and works full time as a nurse and said that the covid ward is NOT full. I've rolled with dozens of people and am totally fine. He said that he's rolled with at least a thousand different people this year and hasn't been sick once.

My girlfriend's daughter is in medical school in San Francisco and she's deathly afraid of covid. We went camping this summer and she wore her mask around while I enjoyed fresh air with no consequences. Her mom confided to me that her daughter had told her that she's feeling feeling really depressed and lonely from staying inside all the time. During a class session over zoom, she introduced herself to the class saying 'hey guys' and was rebuked by her teacher for not being gender neutral.

Can you explain the curfew in California where I'm moving from? How does that stop the spread? How does closing the trails help?
