Tito Ortiz: UFC would 'crash and burn' without Dana

what the fuck?! i had never seen that.

dana didnt even react like he had a problem with it. mindfuck

Tito sure changes his opinion often haha.

That says a lot considering that Tito has strong negative feelings toward Dana.

Looks like Liam choked some sense into Tito's big melon.
I almost want to see Tito vs Ken 4!

And Tito is probably correct. Love him or hate him, Dana made the UFC what it is today.

I agree with Tito. The UFC just wouldn't be the same without Binky... must...resist...damnit.

Nope.

If he said this about 8 years ago then I'd agree with him, but knowing Tito he probably still thinks it's 2005...

We all orbit around Tito's head.

That's what I get for being a good fucking person. Great work Sherdog.

Last week in an interview with RJ Clifford and Steve Cofield on SiriusXM Rush Fight Club, Ortiz spoke about the possibility of a UFC sale and how the organization would fare without Dana White at the helm.

"I think the promotion would completely fail. I think it would crash and burn, that's my opinion. I think Dana does a great job with the promotion. Sometimes we don't agree on the same things but that's just between me and him. Like I say, it's a girlfriend-boyfriend type of relationship, him being the girlfriend of course."

Hespeck Dana's name.

Thoughts?
That's not a mustache, that's a Molestache

Unless he's trying to drive the price down, by suggesting that once Dana's gone, the company will tank.

Tito's not smart enough to think that far ahead, is he?

One thing Tito Ortiz is... He's a survivor. It's crazy to underestimate someone who's been through what he has. I mean, Heck! He SURVIVED Jenna Jameson!

Put TheRassler in charge and it will truly be bigger than soccer.

For a man who has historically been the biggest pain in Dana White's side, those words sound almost friendly. This isn't entirely without precedent though; during his Hall of Fame induction Ortiz thanked Dana White and the Fertitta brothers and recently he stated that he regrets some of how he handled his disputes with Zuffa. Perhaps as Ortiz nears retirement nostalgia is softening him

I doubt it.He isnt as forward with the media as he used to be.I kind of feel like they need dana to go away.I mean you do a reality show based around your promoter not the fighters. How does that benefit you in terms of ratings or ppv buys outside that show.I know it promotes some young guys, but 90 percent of it is him goofing around. They could do looking for a fight x fighter instead and really promote that 1 guy.And do a different one every month or so

I wouldn't say it will crash and burn but it certainly would take some getting used to.
I've got a bad feeling about this ,
