Tito Ortiz: Anderson wants me weak, by having me cut to 195

Big Andy fan, and i'm by no means a Tito fan. I'm too young for that, just saw some of his horrible Bellator fights, but i must say i think Tito is kinda right, this match up is a gimme for Anderson, why make Tito dehydrate even more than normal at such age? Feels weak. Anyways, Anderson is the A side here, so Tito doesn't have much say. It's take or leave it.

Anderson will have his heart broken if that fight won´t happen

Reality is even 200lbs is hard for him

Ortiz I think prime was 230lbs making a 25lb water weight cut.

Now a days I think he sits in the 240s out of shape or camp
Yes, but it boils down that he should not have agreed to fight at 195, not cry after signing a contract at that weight.

Also got to tell you braddah cutting any weight is never a comfortable situation. I fought at 185 and 170 my whole career I could have gone down to 155 with a cut but I just didnt want to go through all that. I experimented with it. It was absolutely horrible. I would have rather have fought super heavy weights at my size then kill myself to be 155 and be the bigger fighter
haha I hear ya!
But I am curious: what are your thoughts on weight cuts?
I for one fully support finding a way to ban them.
Yes, I understand the advantage, but if everyone is doing it, is it really an advantage?

And how about the disadvantages (health-wise), buth in how it is obviously not that great to your body, but also how it endangers dehydrated (or not-fully hydrated) fighters getting blows to the head....

But as much as I can think from the outside, I would like to know your perspective on it. Is this something that passes through your mind?

He's going to use that as an excuse when he loses. He has no problems fighting smaller guys like Shlemenko but he refuses to fight a guy like Fedor merely because Fedor had the courage to fight at HW despite being smaller.

lol why? it is not like AS is some kind of a world beater since he got off the juice

Because I don't want to live in a world where Tito can beat Anderson in a purely striking match, no matter how old or un-juiced they are.

If he could cut some of his head weight by forgetting more of the English language Tito can make even 185 no problem

Oh fuck, I lost it.

So fucking stupid to complain and bitch after signing the contract as if that’s going to change anything
Maybe anderoid shouldn't have been a bitch about it and let it happen at 205, where he has fought multiple times. Does he really need to drain Tito at 46 to a weight class he never really been in to beat him in a boxing match? He may have weighed around 200 a couple times 20+ years ago

Tito needs the money and if Silva's camp refused to come up of course he'll reluctantly agree.

Tito cuts weight six days, actually six days a week.
Five days a week, he'll cut weight three days a week.
One of those days he'll cut weight two days of the week.
So, six days a week he'll be cutting weight.
Big fan of Tito in the cage, I even preferred him over Chuck during the whole rivalry...but if he came out tomorrow and said that he's been mildly mentally retarded since birth I would not be surprised in the least.

By “literally cutting my leg off” to make weight, he must mean well, not literally…

Tito you fat sack, take the pay day. Only a supreme idiot like you would f*ck this up.

Tito signed the contract, end of story. And he fought Frank Shamrock who was much smaller than him at 199. He's just being a diva. Personal responsibility still exists.

Silva has fought at 170 lbs before. If they’re the same size, why was Tito never that low?
The answer is simple. Anderson was never a fully fledged 205lber and was fat at that weight. He’s185lbs. Tito is 205. 195 is literally in the middle.

Sorry Anderson didn’t feel the need to roll out the red carpet for a diva who is less accomplished and a smaller draw than him.
