This is an honest question the war room. Do you think this would have any affect on those who may consider committing mass murder/terrorism in the United States? If you are caught alive you will be tortured in the worst ways imaginable until you are dead and that will be your punishment.

I know people will say that they will just kill themselves but we do on occasion catch these people so if you are guilty of plotting, being an accomplice or committing terrorist acts than you know what the punishment will be and I believe that may actually deter this people.

Not even a joke thread

YES, fuck the Geneva convention

Agreed. Our last administration was able to do it and I think we should do it ONLY to those affiliated with terrorism. I mean when are we going to really do something about this?

So you're not even suggesting this as a method to gather intelligence, you're suggesting it as punishment. Seems pretty obvious that its cruel and unusual punishment so, speaking as an American, no we shouldn't do that. I could understand wanting to piss all over the Constitution if it was at least for some concrete purpose but doing it just to fulfill revenge fantasies is probably the worst excuse for violating a constitutional amendment I've heard or read.

When do they ever capture them alive?

They either get put down with bullets or blow themselves up.

I don't believe Isis was killing US citizens when the constitution was written so yes, it can be changed. You would be singing a different tune if someone in your family was killed btw.

People would rather sit back and watch this stuff happen and say, oh, but we're America and we can't do those things... F that. I'm kind of tired of this and if will make these scumbags think twice about killing than lets do it

Boston bombers, McVeigh, Unibomber, Dude who shot up the planned parenthood... We get them sometimes

Yea but waaaay more often than not they go out the way they want. If you really wanted to fuck them, have a special tactical unit to come in with pig's blood bullets and pork shoulder grenades. That'd teach em.

You're right I might think different if it was my family but so what? I don't want our public institutions acting like a bereaved and vengeful individual.

What a silly thing to say. "I don't believe this very specific set of circumstances happened when the constitution was written so let's just discard major constitutional protections" Where does this end? Do we throw out the 4th amendment because internet child porn didn't exist when the Founding Fathers wrote the constitution?

Child porn is pretty common sense we don't need a constitutional amendment for that . So when does it end? When to desperate times call for desperate measures? Also why is it ok to hold prisoners in Gitmo for years and years without due process? Isn't that a violation of their constitutional rights?

It certainly is a bizarre time to be alive when vicious savages can maim and kill large numbers of people and then be coddled by the people they tried to maim and kill in the name of "human rights" or some such other mumbo jumbo. At any other point in history these sub-humans would be treated like they deserve.

inbe4 "and at any other point in history you would die of polio"

What tortures are you guys suggesting?

Scaphism but before they die finish off with a brazen bull?

i honestly would prefer letting them get executed via the cheapest and most efficient way possible

Not sure if OP is serious.

Of course we shouldn't torture people guilty of these types of crime.
1. Why would we? Self gratification? Where would that get us as a society?
2. What percentage of people are actually "convicted" of terror? Most are probably KIA, right?
3. It would have zero effect on the problem. The death penalty isn't a deterrent, why would torture (just a scary story unless televised) dissuade radicals ready and willing to die for their insanity be any different?
4. It would most likely only encourage radicalization.

not sure torture would deter people willing to you know ... die for their cause.

Lol, no let's not hurt our enemy or let's not hurt people who may have info that could save lives.

Today the enemy does not feel threatened at all, they feel protected under the disguise of liberalism and multiculturalism
