Tomashek is from Green Bay. This was a big deal in Wisconsin at the time. Green Bay is only 30 minutes from my hometown... so it created quite the buzz.

He was in the audience eating a hot dog and then got a chance to be a replacement fighter.

Im pretty sure it was the payday of his life. Maybe thats why he seemed so happy. Tough dude indeed.
