Tim Sylvia in his prime

Sylvia does get a bad rep around here and considered garbage by some. I could see a prime Tim being a mid to upper heavyweight today. His technique was not pretty but he had the size and used his reach pretty good at times. He had the power to end fights. I could see him being up and down, knocking some guys out. Not winning consistently enough to be considered the real top of the division but possibly having one run where he could string together enough wins to get him a title shot or maybe a top contender shot.

Tim had a great jab, KO power and knew how to use his size.

He had issues with his back from the Randy fight onwards but he was a tough SOB.

He's massively underrated on these boards but I could see him being very competitive with someone like Volkov or Black Beast.

lol no

UFC HW was incredibly weak.

Was on roids in those highlights by the way, confirmed with positive test. And he still sucked.

Contender in this HW division doesn't say much.

You say possible champion though, about a guy who got one punch murdered by a boxer, when Ngannou and Lewis are in the division...

Better than half the heavyweights at the UFC division in the top 15 at least
Under USADA I doubt he could hang with anyone in the Top 15. He was slow and unathletic. Not much of a ground game. Not much of a chin. Good jab. Very tall.

He benefitted from having very weak competition and very loose drug testing.

If an out of prime Arlovski could almost get a title shot a prime Sylvia would do pretty damn good dude
