hitler by all accounts was a junkie who by war's end couldn't get out of bed in the morning without mainlining a huge amount of drugs. the exact cocktail of which nobody can agree on but amphetamines and most oddly i hear crystal meth were part of it.

my grandma does remember meth, or at least amphetamines being sold to the public during ww2. albeit she doesn't know much about drugs being a mennonite.
