Fair argument. Its a harsh and unpleasant reality of warfare through the ages that we need people willing to go that far but I respect your differing opinion. Honestly I dont like both of them. I just try to be careful judging people especially ones that have been in such extreme circumstances.

The women and kids thing sounds egregious. Until you hear these stories in context. MOST of the time they place themselves in a situation as enemy combatants and raise their weapons on our forces. Then you have no choice. I know a few serving in the Military there (or prior) and there is usually a translator who voices over a loud speaker in Arabic and Farsi that the US Forces are entering the village/city/whatever and to NOT point weapons at them.
