So listening to his interview on YouTube, Robert Follis (rip) was his head coach and Tim bought a house in Vegas to be closer to his coach.

He’s had 2 opponent changes and probably needs the money. I think some fans gave him sh*t recently for not taking a short notice fight with an opponent who missed weight.

Feel bad for the dude and condolences to Coach Follis and his family.

***EDIT: I’m not saying we need to give him money,

I’m saying to lay off the hate on him for this fight.

God damn how are you people so damn negative?

He's had it rough for sure

But we all have it rough
Some of us can't afford a 300 grand house in Vegas though

Respect to him but he's doing alright

Agreed, no different than an employee on a contract job moving and then the company loses the contract , if he's asking fans for money that's pretty messed up

Yeah I know it sounds harsh, but he's got people around him, he's got kids, he's got a wife, he's got a 300 GRAND HOUSE IN VEGAS

We all got shit in our lives and I'm sure a lot on here have got it worse but we're not screaming poverty

Much love to him
For the loss of a person though, that's irreplaceable

He's fighting and getting paid tomorrow isn't he? And he's on $50k/$50k he'll be alright.

Edit: turns out his base rate isn't disclosed.

December 16: 100K for fighting Mighty Mouse
April 17: 50k fight of the night bonus, salary unknown
June 17: salary unknown
December 17: next fight.

He's pretty damn active and he must have made a decent amount this year.

Tim Elliott vs Smolka: $89,000 ($17,000 to show, $17,000 win bonus, $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus, $5,000 Reebok sponsorship)

Tim Elliott vs Nguyen: $24,000 ($19,000 to show, $5,000 Reebok sponsorship)

Stupid thread. He makes more money than 97% of Americans. I'm not giving him shit.

spot on pal.
we all have rough times.
but you can't just ask for money cap in hand because things are rough..

Im sick of my ford s max, can you all have a whip round so i can have a new mustang instead..

Need more unique styles and personalities like Tim's in this sport. Deserves any support that will help.

There has to be more gyms in Vegas. How bad was his training back where he came from? Why leave Krause in the first place?

He really hasn't had it that bad when you think about it. His opponent dropped out but he got show money, and a replacement fight weeks later.

The Folis situation is tough, but it's not a deal breaker.

Depending on the location, people could live comfortably on 50k a year w/family.

I'm guessing training plus coaches could get expensive.

He'll be ok. Most of us go through tough times. At least he's not living in the Congo.

Now who actually went and sought the interview TS didn't post to confirm Tim is begging fans for money

Yeah defo mate, I'll be in an S max soon can't wait... haha

Seriously though the only one that can top this was when Bec Rawings is screaming poverty and setting up go fund me's while somehow training out of Alliance in like San Diego??
Fuck off and win a fight that show and win money helps you know

As a fighter there are plenty of ways to make money. Go do some training seminars. Go shill products on your twitter. It's not my fault he bought a 300k house and can't afford to pay it with over 200k earned recently.
