Thug Rose appreciation thread

Could it? Valentina has 2.4 million followers on Instagram. She has long hair, puts a lot more effort into her social media platforms and was in a movie with Halle Berry recently.
No guarantees in life but a pretty American girl that kicks ass is going to be a bigger commercial draw in America.

Thug rose with long hair is the most attractive fighter on the UFC roster. I know she's way more of a man than I am but I wouldn't mind being the little spoon.
She has some sort of natural beauty, she's beautiful even with the short hair. On top she has good personality and some great highlight finishes including flying armbar. I just love that girl.

Listen, it says "covid protocols". Sounds like she's unvaxed and not getting one

Sorry, in the google search it said "Rose Namajunas has withdrawn from Fury Grappling 3 on Dec. 30 in Philadelphia after contracting COVID-19 and has been replaced by fellow UFC ..." -- but then in the story, it doesn't say that.

Fighter hates egalitarian economic system:

Dana: licks lips

Lithuania was basically plundered and oppressed under the USSR for decades. She couldn't say anything but what she said. I don't think Thug Rose would hate communism if the idea had done something positive for Lithuania. (Or China for that matter.) I suppose the fascists would have killed or enslaved all Lithuanians so they would have been worse off without communism? But that is some dark calculus.

Thug Rose made honest comments about her family experience under an authoritarian regime. That regime featured egalitarianist ideas prominently in its propaganda, but not in its policy. It's very sad.

I don't personally have anything against egalitarian economics, I think it's a good idea to fund social services and I've been to Denmark, it's a swell place with a lot to teach us. But you can't blame Rose for her opinion. She's a pro fighter not a professor and knows where she came from.

There’s just something about her. One of the best fighters ever plus at the same time she’s a total chick not a female dude, shes just very very special.

I would really, really, REALLY appreciate it if people would fucking realize that the USSR and China are failed attempts at communism. I know it sounds cliche' but real communism has never been achieved. Corruption always wins the day and it stops at the socialism state and usually devolves into state capitalism. The funny thing is it still gets labeled as communism and vilified by the average American as an iron fist authoritarian dictatorship. Look, Stalin was an absolute piece of fucking shit, fucked over the whole Soviet Union and all its territories just to stay in power. Literally said fuck transitioning to communism stage for the people and switched to state capitalism and reaped all the benefits while writing shitty ass theory pretending to be for the working class. Its so fucking egregious and don't even get me started on China with Mao.

Now I was initially indifferent to Rose, thought she was a little underage nutcase Pat Barry was tapping. Whatever, didn't care, decent fighter. I also do respect that Lithuania got royally fucked over by the Soviet Union, but her bringing up fucking communism during a press conference as a mind game tactic and point of contention for a fucking MMA fight pissed me off big time. Not cool, will never be a fan. She literally fucking knows that Zhang can literally NOT say a single critique about her country or she is in deep shit, yet she pulls the "better dead than red" card. Yes, we all know China is basically a dictatorship, but I reiterate it is NOT under true communism. Politics has absolutely no business dipping its wide reaching hand into sports, especially MMA, it sets a bad precedent and its absolute bullshit. Dana White slurping up Trump every chance he gets to line his pockets is already more than I can fucking handle, let alone him massively underpaying his roster.

If people would stop getting so emotional about protecting "muh freedoms!" and do some actual God damn research, they'd realize that nations like the former USSR and China are more state capitalist with some socialist policies enacted as a facade to the people and the rest of the world, and no where near real communism. And news flash: communism is when the means of production are in the hands of the working class and that has never been truly achieved, and it is 20X better than capitalism on paper, which is basically just the government deep-throating the wealthy indefinitely at the expense of everyone who isnt wealthy through mass exploitation and is the #1 reason a simple, preventable pandemic has bought the USA to its fucking knees, which is mostly under the impression Covid is just the "Kung Flu" and has half our government thinking we should transition to a fascist society. God i hate stupidity and misinformation.

Rose didn't bring up communism during a press conference. She answered a question during an interview with a Lithuanian media outlet.

And the fact that you think that she did it as a mind game tactic, proves you're the nutcase. She's clearly not that kind of person. Even if you think bad of her, she's not smart nor calculative enough to do that. It wasn't a grand scheme to get into Weili's head.

Well, in terms of “doing research” I’d wager, based on this post, that you should take your own advice. Start with Edmund Burke and Robespierre. Then get into where sport and politics first started mixing (goes all the way back to Ancient Greece.)

Rose didn’t bring it up as a mind-game tactic, she was asked a question and answered it. And her perspective makes perfect sense.

There is no such thing as “true communism” because the idea was birthed into existence before we developed our detailed understanding of human psychology. It’s more or less a propaganda term now, and the way Rose meant it, was to say that her country was screwed by a dictatorship who used “communism” as a justification for everything they did. She’s right, and China has a god awful government more people should criticize.
