Mir has the top finishes and the highlight reel submissions. One of my all time favorites. He doesn't fuk around. When you go to the ground with him, he goes for the kill.

I'm a big Nog fan and remember watching it live vividly. After their first encounter, me and my friend were, of course, worried about Nog in the stand-up department, so when he rocked Mir and began putting it on him we went absolutely crazy in the bar....damn did that energy change directions quickly! A great example of just shit fight IQ.

This is my favourite fight I watched in a bar. Everybody went nuts during the back and forth leading up to the finish, but nobody realized live that Mir broke his arm. Everybody just thought it was a normal kimura finish.

Then the slow motion replay came on which clearly showed the wrench when it broke, and the whole bar yelled out a disgusted UGGHHH upon collectively noticing it.

Yeah - at first it's surprising that the upper arm snapped in the middle and not at the shoulder - but I guess it's kind of obvious that the shoulder is much stronger than the arm bone so if you put torque on the elbow the limb might break at it's weakest point

FOr sure frank knew what he was doing. this is the flaw in mma, allows competitors to get away with legalized murder/ brutality. Imagine if the ref slipped in masvidal/askren fight, jorge is such a punk would have kept punching a clearly unconscious body.

Mir is the only fighter that I am aware of that has actually broken an opponents arm (as opposed to just hyperextending a joint) and he’s done it multiple times.
