Three O'Clock High

Great movie. I remember it coming on what seemed like every day back when I was in elementary and I’d watch every time.

Very good high school movie, fantastic score by Tangerine Dream.

LOL! I was racking my brain to find a tween movie to watch with my grand daughter. She is 8 but mentally really advanced. We watched this and Big man on campus last night!

I stayed up way too late watching this movie based on your recommendation.

Really enjoyed it though. I love how buddy is basically one-punch man. Fucking knocking out grown security guards and teachers lol

Good stuff, yeah I think Buddy Revell is in the running for best character in any high school movie. He's not really a bully, he always just wants to be left alone.

Yeah there's a lot to unpack there. For instance, did he really just need a friend? And instead he gets all these people talking shit about him before he even meets them?

Or maybe he didn't respect any of those people enough to be their friend, which is why he called out Jerry for not even trying. Maybe they will be friends now that Jerry won his respect.

And he's clearly intelligent. Just very very angry. It does beg the question, why did he try to copy answers from Jerry if he knew the material already? Did he want to get caught just to get Jerry in trouble as revenge for the switchblade stunt?

I think he just didn't want people to know he was smart. The guy doesn't like attention.

He's kind of similar to a character played by Adam Baldwin in an old teen movie called My Bodyguard.

The Tangerine Dream score for Jerry's Sexy Book Report is one of my favorite pieces of film music.

I saw this movie way too young to understand that it was a high-school comedy movie. I was terrified of Buddy Revell.

Buddy Revell graduated and went off to war in Somalia, IIRC

I also love the fact that the movie ends without his romantic life settled. He has 3 chicks that want him but it's hard to tell which direction he'll go.

The one weird girl that speaks to the dead is supposed to be his "Booth" from teen Wolf and many other movies. You know the neighbor girl that's been his friend for years and always has a crush on him but he didn't realize till now that he loves her.

Well in this movie that chick is significantly weirder than usual, might be literally insane, and less hot too. So she's not necessarily the obvious choice.

He could go with the teacher that wants his dick so bad that she blatantly makes out with him in front of the whole class. Ah, the 80s were such a simple time...

Then there's the hot chick who really only became interested in him after he kissed the hot teacher.

I think the correct answer is to have a threesome with the hot chick and the teacher, then date the crazy chick after those two relationships fall apart.

I also thought it was refreshing that he had a little sister that was cool and was on his side.

I half expected her to be a total brat that sabotages him like ferris buelers sister
