Was Nate just rolling with it given how comfortable he is off his back, or was it actually a pretty slick sweep from McGregor?

Nate obviously let him so that people on sherdog could assume Nate wanted to be swept and punched in the face.

Nice x-guard sweep. It was slick. His training with Ryan Hall paid off somewhat.

Not an easy thing to sweep a legit BJJ blackbelt.

He was trying to touch Nate's butt with his foot like Sensei Portal told him to. But in all fairness, it was a pretty slick sweep.

I think half of that was Nate's willingness to pull guard.

It was a very slick sweep. I don't think Nate was concerned so he went with it, defended well, but yeah that moment Conor's BJJ was very slick

Good sweep. On the wrong guy.

Fast forward to rnd 2 and you will see why.

He was rolling him into a triangle, would have worked if Conor didn't grab the fence a few seconds later.

Conor's fence grabs while fending off Nate's bottom game were esp. technical too.

Difference in rd 2 being that Conor was badly hurt when he shot for the TD. In rd 1 his grappling looked ok in this limited exchange with a clear head.

Conor didn't land a single punch from the top. Did you mistake that for Diaz punching him in the face as he pulled guard?

Nate wanted it to happen so he'd be even closer to tapping McTapper.

The story of the night was Nates boxing not his ground game, we all know he can strangle and beat half to death a semi conscious exhausted man. When he wasn't mentally and physically done his jiu jitsu from what we seen looked fine.

Conor did a nice job with the sweep and surprised Nate. But it makes sense that Nate would pull guard rather than expend energy fighting the reversal. Even off his back, Nate is at an advantage against Conor, and looked to be setting up a sub.

Advanced level jiu jitsu. Fuck what shertards think.

Both. It was a pretty cool guard, I think it's called x guard or something. May even be a modified butterfly guard.

But also I think Diaz was going with it and wasn't too worried about where he ended up on the ground. Good BJJ guys don't care if its top or bottom, you see as soon as McGregor ends up on top, Diaz controls his wrists and doesn't let go...Conor didn't get any GnP in and Diaz soon reversed it.

It was a good sweep, but a bad move.

It's like "Yay! I pulled the pin on this grenade!"

I need to see lot more ground game from Conor before I believe he's capable of handling anyone with a brown belt and up in JJ.
