Well, according to a new study by the National Survey of Family Growth, whether a young woman lives in a rural or urban area DOES impact her sexual mores significantly:

68% of women in urban areas report having had sex before turning 18...

... compared to 80% in rural areas.

By the way, belonging to a consevative religious denomination seems to have no impact on the trend at all.

Average age women... er, make that girls... have first intercourse in rural areas: 16.6 years-old. I’d imagine not too many of them were married... even in Jesus/Trumpland (I think) that’s still unusual.

When I went to college in Pennsyltucky, as I freshmen I met other freshmen females same age who already started families. They got married and had a kid while in HS. Their husbands also same age, I hope, are also going to school with them.

I was flabbergasted. Honestly people did use to marry and have kids very young. As time went by child rearing age got older and older.
