I don't want to always have to bring the negativity, but this PC crap has got to stop.

I'll give them this: they have cojones. Short haired, spartan sword wielding Thor? OK, i guess. Absurdly looking Hela with a black eye? What to do?

I'm not promoting truthfulness to the comics (mostly because i didn't have that much access to original Thor comics, but a black Valkyrie? Heimdall gets a pass, not because it's Elba, but because the character almost always has a helmet, and is of dark(ish) skin. But Valkyrie?? You have got to be kidding me. To (mis)quote Eddie Murphy: You look up "white woman" in the dictionary, be a picture of Valkyrie like this:

Also, shinguards on Thor? The Norse gods are laughing in your face, you maniacs.

But yeah, the official pics in poses look far worse then they do in the movies, so there's that, i guess.

Calling it right now: only the Hulk can save this from being a train wreck.

We've seen MCU movies that have been indifferent, for example IM2 and Dark World. But this could actually be a bad movie.

Honestly, if this doesn't suck, I'd be shocked.

Basically all of the Thor movies have been the worst showings for the MCU, so far. They still entertain on some level, and are worth the watch, but they aren't anywhere near even their middle of the road movies.

I don't know if I can posit this since I haven't read the comics, but is it that the source material just doesn't have the riches to mine that the other franchises do?

I mean, FFS, they are shoehorning the Hulk into this. Isn't that basically admitting Thor and his rogues alone aren't interesting enough?

I wonder if Hela is Mistress Death that Thanos falls in love with and is willing to destroy half the universe for?

No, the Thor comic books have a rich history of awesome, classic storylines and memorable characters and villains. It's just Marvel Studios is not making the right decisions when it comes to the God of Thunder. The first Thor movie was great though.

If you need a recommendation, try reading Walt Simonson's 1980s run on Thor.

Did people actually enjoy the previous two movies? Apart from the great visuals of Asgaard, I thought the movies were straight garbage.

Now they trying to make Thor look gay with short hair. He already looked gay enough jeeze

New hair? I'm totes stoked.

Lol @ Valkyrie, Thor's haircut, and Hela's black eye. Wtf? It's like Marvel is trying to tank the franchise so they can trade it to Fox for the Fantastic Four.

Why would you base the movie off of a cheesy Entertainment Weekly cover?

Valkyrie has a retarded origin story and cheesy costume in the comics, so changing things up isn't a bad idea. I'm not sure why some in here are throwing a hissy fit over that. Do you want someone who looks like a Swedish serving wench on the screen with her metallic Madonna bra and shitty origin story?

Where is Hela's helmet? It's one of her defining features. That picture makes her look like some sort of goth cosplayer. Why isn't Grandmaster blue, and instead a dude with guyliner and some spray paint on his lip? I don't think it looks that bad, but I think it would come off much better if he was blue. Oh well, at least we know he goes to he same hair stylist as the Collector.

Thor has Norse mythology. There's Surtur, Ymir, Midgard Serpent, Fenris, dwarves, elves, trolls, giants, demons, etc... I don't see the problem with throwing Hulk in here. He's not getting any more solo movies, so why not?

Why are people so quick to judge this movie? Haven't you all learned you lesson by now? Marvel knows what they're doing.

I'm not basing the quality of the movie based off this cover. Its just another clue that hints at the quality of the movie.
As for Valkyrie, I'd be happy if Valkyrie looked like a Valkyrie. Not a lot to ask, imo.

Cate Blanchett looks like Claire Forlani in that pic.

They've made a mess of Thor from the beginning. Including Hulk in this is 100% for marketing purposes because they know the Hulk vs. Thor images will help sell the movie.
If they're smart they'll keep the made for tv Flash Gordon images above out of the trailers.
