They just focus on his crush on Enchantress, but Skurge also never says anything right?

Also, if they don't include Amora, then I imagine Skurge having a thing for Hela. It's a basterdization but I don't see how they can fit the Amora/Executioner story into a Ragnorak/Planet Hulk combo movie.

I think Ginson could have rocked Odin, but Hopkins was good as anybody could be.

But that is bad idea, because Thanos already has a thing for Death, so that necrophilia angle is already there. No need to duplicate it.

If they do the gladiatorial angle of PLANET HULK, Bill's GOTTA be included.

When I first heard Kat Dennings was gonna be in the franchise, I thought for sure she'd play a great Amora. Curves like that?

But then she spoke.

Odin needs to be played as a cold blooded bastard, and I agree that Hopkins nails that perfectly.

Doesn't match what he is in the comics. For decades of Thor comics, Odin was *very* prone to flying off the handle in fits of totally irrational rage. He also had a different outfit in every single comic for a very long time. Hopkins portrayal of Odin didn't capture either Odin's wild, irrational rage or his fabulous wardrobe. Don't get me wrong, I liked it fine, but comic Odin was not the cool cat that Hopkins portrayed. Trust me, I've recently been reading the entire Thor chronology from back when it was Journey into Mystery and sometimes Odin acting like a spoiled brat throwing a tantrum just leaves me shaking my head as everyone needs to kiss the old fart's ass afterwards. His getups are awesome though.

has he ever had the lead in a sci-fi action? Well he was in Collateral as a cop. But hte Hulk that he portrayed in the last two avengers is too soft, and cuddly.

There were flashes of the Monster losing control in each movie , so if more of that pent up rage is channeled into Gladiator fights we might see something awesome, I hope

Mel Gibson Reveals Turning Down Odin Role in THOR

Mel-Gibson-Odin-Thor-Dragonlord.jpg

Mel Gibson made some publicity rounds at the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of his latest film Blood Father, and one interview brought the revelation that Mel Gibson turned down the role of Odin in Thor, the God of Thunder’s moody father who ended up being played by Anthony Hopkins.

Speaking to The Guardian (via The Playlist), Gibson was asked if he was ever offered a role in a superhero movie, to which he simply said, “Yeah, long time ago, to play Thor’s dad. But I didn’t do it.”

Gibson as Thor’s father is an interesting prospect, but Anthony Hopkins has been so perfect in the role that it’s hard to imagine anyone else being quite as effective in the role.

Gibson also shared his on superhero movies in general. “Some are good. Some are kind of funny … Guardians of the Galaxy. Or the first Iron Man. And some of them are just like retreats. I mean you can watch them do Spider-Man five times…”

Mel Knows that the crying whining little jews will never forgive him for something he said when he was drunk and he dont want to ruin a big movie. Mel is one of the best actors and directors there is and piss on anyone who dont like him. I gurantee you if he did play in this movie there would be protests everywhere and israel would demand more aid from us.

It's a fair point, but I think in the film Odin needs to be more mature, reserved and cold as a counter-balance to Thor's, come at me, bro! style of doing things.

Weaving doesn't want to reprise the role, so make Mel the new Red Skull. And give him a sex scene with Chris Evans, after Captain America betrays the Avengers;)

Is Mark Ruffalo playing Hulk in the Planet Hulk? I dont think he can carry that movie unless it is a romantic comedy.
Clarification. There is no Planet Hulk standalone movie. There will be Planet Hulk elements, specifically the gladiatorial matches, integrated into the Thor: Ragnarok movie.

I was a big supporter of Idris playing Heimdall (and has been great), and Jordan playing Torch (he was perfect, the writing just sucked), and I'm even down for Bond....Black Bond, but I'm going to put my foot down on this casting for Valkyie. Nothing to do with race, it's just try hard and feels inauthentic.
My thoughts exactly.
