Why is Loki there again, we have seen him enough

I thought immigrant song felt out of place, it's a good Thor song but didn't seem like it was used well

But I will defer to the mob, everyone else seems excited so maybe this is just me being cynical

How? Would you prefer Lou Ferrigno in green makeup?

I don't know. CB looks great in this. If Hela IS Death, or at least a version in the MCU, than at least she's powerful as hell judging by this trailer.

Would also be a great tie in/carry over to infinity war.

"Asgard is dead" sounds like something Death might say.

I don't think they will put too much emphasis on Thanos wanting to bump uglies with Mistress Death. It will be the biggest movie ever made, and they won't want to put off parents taking their kids to it by making it too morbid.

This looks amazing...can someone more knowledgeable fill me in on how close Marvel comic Thor follows any of the mythology? LIke that's obviously Hel, can I expect an appearance from Fenrir or Jormungand? cuz I'm imagining Hulk fighting either of those and it's blowing my mind lol

I don't read the comics my man I'm just a goof around here in this marvel worlds.

I don't care if she is black the thing that bugs me is the casting choice it's a bad one she ain't looking like this bad ass warrior she looks like a doughy, puffy, soft, baby face, gentle eyes.. someone that wants to hug you more then fight you.

Plus like others have mention she is short not buying this imagine of a warrior with genes of the might people of Asgard.

I'm repulsed by the forcing of the comedic tone. Thor lost his hammer, got thrown into a gladiator pit against an uncontrolable rage monster that is Hulk and all he can do is go "haha! I know him from work!" I just can't. I'm done.

They very clearly are trying to recreate the vibe of GOTG with this trailer and amazingly it works.

You know what Marvel does best? Fun. Not brooding emotional dark, but FUN. And this movie looks like a ton of fun. I'm sold.

I'm good with them sticking with that , it works for them.

Damn didn't know I struck a neve in this thread. Let me comment again with a clearer head. I was kinda hoping they would at least try to take a somewhat serious tone with Ragnarok. But even in a scene where Thor is forced to fight Earth's strongest living creature who is also someone he knows and respects, they just camp it up. I just gets boring after they do 20 movies by the book with minor cosmetic changes. Strange was magic Iron Man, Thor was Iron Man in space...etc. Oh well, at least there's Netflix marvel shows.

Yes Thor should have no notion of that kind of humour. There is a difference between Thor quipping about Loki "he is adopted" but winking to the audience "that's not Thor it's Chris Helmsworth" is a bad idea IMO

I can understand inserting some levity into the scene. maybe trade "work" with "Earth" and I'll be okay with it. Being an Avenger is not your work. You don't get paid to do it. You are the Norse God of Thunder. You don't punch a clock. You punch faces.

Really digging the retro design of the title too. Jeremy Jahns said it best when he said "it reminded me of Far Cry Blood Dragon."

Bout time Thor went with a more fun approach. His movies were always so dour and serious. Its a fucking comic book movie, it should be fun.
