The last one went dark when they killed Thor's mum and ended it with Loki on the throne, but it didn't really work or feel right at all.

So why do that shit again?

I guess they'll kill off Portman in this one and maybe Odin too? Everyone will cry. Thor will get angry, Hulk will get angry, etc.

The Enchantress would be a nice addition, but I'd also like to see Balder and Skurge. No more Earth crap.

Get Amber Heard Marvel, get her.

Apparently Hemsworth has been casting for the Midgard Serpant in his backyard.

Fairly weak?

Can't get any worse really. Lousy movie

Oh, was being generous.

I actually think Iron Man 3 is worse though.

Dunno how I feel about Valkyrie and Enchantress being used. If Thor 2 was better..

Mark Ruffalo's HULK Confirmed to Appear in THOR: RAGNAROK

Mark-Ruffalo-Thor-Ragnarok-101515-Dragonlord.jpg

Mark Ruffalo is in negotiations to play his Bruce Banner/Hulk character in Thor 3: Ragnarok. The movie just recently found its director in Taika Waititi and is moving quickly in pre-production. The move, first reported by JoBlo.com, firms up the Jade Giant's next appearance after his inconclusive ending in this summer's Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Ruffalo and his take on Hulk was one of the standouts in the first Avengers movie and fans have been clamoring for a Hulk solo movie. The Hulk rights may be a bit twisty - Universal has the distribution rights even as Marvel has the character back in its fold, according to source - so fans will have to make do with this.

Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki, and Jamie Alexander, who plays Lady Sif, are also returning to the franchise. The movie is set for a Nov. 3, 2017 release.

Coming off a strong turn in Begin Again and into a heartbreaking performance as wrestler Dave Schultz in Foxcatcher, Ruffalo is at the center of the strong ensemble cast of Spotlight, the Tom McCarthy-directed film about the Boston Globe Spotlight team's reporting that exposed the cover-up of :eek::eek::eek:phile priests by the Catholic Church in Boston.

ALIEN: PARADISE LOST, THOR: RAGNAROK to Film in Australia

Alien-Thor-Ragnarok-102215-Dragonlord.jpg

Throw another two Hollywood blockbusters on the barbie! Today, the Australian Government officially announced that Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok and 20th Century Fox’s Alien: Paradise Lost will film in the land Down Under.

"These two major US productions will inject hundreds of millions of dollars into the economy, employ thousands of people across Australia not just within our screen industry but will also utilise Australian goods and services," said Debra Richards, CEO of Ausfilm. "Productions of this size also contribute to generating skills and training of Australia’s crews and represent a major development and investment opportunity for creative talent both in front of and behind the camera."

Alien: Paradise Lost, the sequel to 2012's Prometheus, will star Naomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender. It'll be directed by Ridley Scott, who said a month ago filming would begin in March, however, Deadline reported production will take place in the latter part of 2016.

Thor: Ragnarok will star Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo, who will reprise his Bruce Banner/The Hulk role. It'll be directed by What We Do In The Shadows' Taika Waititi, based on a script by Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle.

THOR: RAGNAROK Begins Filming in Queensland on June 2016

av1k4x.jpg

Several days ago, the Australian government officially announced that Thor: Ragnarok will be shooting in the land Down Under and today, Marvel Studios has confirmed when pre-production and principal photography for the film will begin.

Thor: Ragnarok pre-production in Queensland will being in January of 2016 and filming is to begin in June of 2016. They'll shoot at various locations throughout Queensland including scenes at Village Roadshow Studios at the Gold Coast.

"This is a huge win for Queensland and I am thrilled that Thor will be filming exclusively in our state," Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said. "As our economy diversifies, Queensland is demonstrating its strength as a lead destination for filmmakers both internationally and locally, and my government is doing what it can to ensure that Queensland remains a global hub for the screen sector. The production will spend more than $100 million AUD in Queensland and will employ over 750 Queensland crew."

"Queensland offers an amazing and diverse backdrop for 'Thor: Ragnarok' and we are very excited to bring this film to such an incredible locale," said Louis D’Esposito, Co-President of Marvel Studios. "Marvel Studios would like to thank the Queensland Government for helping to make this a reality"

Marvel Confirms Thor: Ragnarok To Begin Filming In June 2016 In Queensland

Back when DL was talking about doing a Thor write-up I had been putting together my own ideas but since this will now be a Thor/Hulk feature I just quickly finished what I have since it wont be anything close to this.

Pre-Title Scene
Even though the chances of Ronda being the oldest of Thor's granddaughters is slim since she will be Cap Marvel (the movie being pushed back for her theory has been put forward by more people since I said it). So I will still go with my opening since it doesn't matter but the F4 coming back would have helped.
Movie starts on a silent barren landscape, camera is near to the ground the low whistling of the wind is all we hear. Text appears at the bottom of the screen: Midgard 3025 (or some other future time). Suddenly armored boots walk across the frame as we pull back we see the Girls of Thunder are trekking across the countryside.
Landscape looks as such but sans Galactus and King Thor since he'll pop up in a sec.
t3.jpg

As they walk we see farming equipment that Thor has put together over the years as he tills the soil trying to bring Earth back.
Youngest: Are we sure grandpa is here?
Middle: Mother saw him heading to the Bifrost with the book again. Just wants to make sure he's ok.
Eldest: There he is.

We see King Thor sitting atop a rocky outcropping with Mjolnir at his feet as he reads through a large ancient book, the lock and chains that kept the book sealed rests on top of Mjolnir.
Using the 'Unworthy' book as an example
Sky-Book.png

The girls approach Thor and make small talk as he reads on. One of them asks what he is reading.

Thor: Looking to see if there was something I missed, something I could have done to change this.
Eldest: I don't think anyone could have stopped this from happening to Midgard.
Thor: Not this event but if I could have stopped it at the source then they could have been saved. There must have been something...*he looks up from the book* Maybe you will see what I could not.

We pull in over Thor's shoulder as he goes back to the cover: RAGNAROK, big music swell as the words rise up from the cover. They started Thor 2 with a look far in the past so I thought starting Thor 3 with a look far into the future would work.

ACT 1
Smash cut to Muspelheim, where Surtur (an enormous fire demon, 30 or so feet tall) is forging the Twilight Sword to lay waste to Asgard. A cloaked figure approaches and asks if the time is nigh. Surtur tells this person to go to Asgard to herald his coming, give them time to feel fear before his arrival. In four days he shall lay waste to them.
Probably go with less fire on the head since Dormammu would have just been introduced a year earlier.
229977-54640-sword-of-doom.jpg

More like this.
Surtur.jpg

Now we pick up with Thor right after Age of Ultron. Thor has a chat with Heimdall about his vision but Heimdall tells him not to worry as Asgard has always fought off any invasion, if it would ease Thor's mind he can visit the archives and review the tales of the ancient wars of Asgard so that he can see how the Asgardians won the day in other great conflicts. Thor heads off the the library.

Cut to LoKing (still looking like Odin) watching young Asgardians train magic and sorcery as he did as a child. Fades to Flashback: a teenage Loki is training with his mom, maybe they can get those kids of played young Loki and Thor in the first movie as Thor can be in the background training with Jarnbjorn.

Loki is having trouble with a spell (perhaps some sort of ensnaring charm or containment spell that might comes into play later) and starts getting laughed at by his mother's star student Amora the Enchantress. She says that she gets to go to the other realms to study under other master magic users while he must stay here with his mommy. She then quickly performs the spell and Loki looks like a fool. After she leaves to continue her training elsewhere, Loki keeps working with his mom. On the day he gets that spell right they receive word that fire demons laid siege to the city Amora was in and she was nowhere to be found, it was a good day for Loki.

Back to present. Thor arrives and greets his "dad" who is "happy" to see him. But Thor is busy, no time to chat. He arrives in the ancient archive and the archivist (using the character from the Omnipotence City) helps him gather all the tales of great battles, Thor balances this enormous stack of tomes and scrolls. When a scroll on top falls it is caught by Sif who wonders what he is doing. He explains and asks if she knows where he should start. She suggests some battle with Bor & Asgard vs some invading force, lets say a troll army.

Flashback: Bor does battle with the troll leader and is nearly defeated but his forces start to drive the trolls back and their leader swears to take Bor's head next time. Bor knows he must become greater so he travels to Hildstalf where he must complete three tests to gain the power of the Runes. Bor becomes the first to do so and gains enough strength (the Bor-Force) to defeat the troll army himself. Back to present with Thor closing the book, he knows what he must do.

Thor gets up to leave and the Warriors 3 arrive to bring Sif to a feast, seeing that Thor is back they try to grab him as well but he pushes past. Business comes first. Thor goes to the Bifrost which sends him to Hildstalf.

The cloaked figure from earlier appears in Asgard through one of Loki's entrances and is quickly located by Heimdall. The Warriors 3 are going to be sent to apprehend the figure but LoKing decides to go himself, wanting to know who knows of his passages. The figure is revealed to be Amora, LoKing is shocked certain she was dead. She tells the tale of getting taken by the fire demons and being delivered to Surtur as he would need a powerful magic user to help him take Asgard when he next tried (either Odin or Bor would have stopped him in the past). She would refuse, try to kill him but her spells did no damage and she would then waste away in confinement, think Natalie Portman in V. Eventually she would give into him and he would bring her other magic users to allow her to improve and then kill them once she learned all she could. Surtur would be gathering materials from across space for his sword during this time.

Back to the present as Amora and LoKing do battle, she is able to break his illusion seeing it is Loki. With a battle underway the Asgardians come a runnin', so Amora flees to wait for her master. LoKing got his disguise back up before they arrived.

ACT 2
We now go to Hildstalf where Thor has found an ancient temple where Odin's crows have been waiting with a being of pure energy that looks like a kid. The boy explains to Thor the powers he will receive if he has enough in him to survive the trials. Trials he undergoes can be seen in the video. Plucks eyes, gains knowledge and hangs himself for five days (shortening the time so he will be ready just after Surtur has arrived in Asgard). Some sort of hourglass can be emptying to let the audience and the energy being know how long is left.
2:19 to 4:07

The powers he gets wont be to the level he has in the vid since they had to immediately kill him so they wouldn't have Thor be that strong. But he is now 5 to 10 times more powerful and can use blasts of the Thor-Force.

Thor is left hanging...tehe.

MONTAGE: Asgard prepares for Surtur, Amora meditates, an army of fire demons gather, Surtur's sword is finished and powers up while Surtur holds it aloft.

Thor's hanging time nears its end as Surtur and his forces arrive in Asgard after Amora reopened the portal that LoKing closed.

Thor-vs-Surtur.jpg

BATTLE STARTS IN NEXT PART!

The Asgardians are ready for war and an enormous battle erupts leveling most of the city; civilians have gone underground with the conflict approaching. Surtur's forces are just too much, burning through lines of troops. While LoKing tussles with Amora, the Warriors 3 and Sif cut their way through troops to engage Surtur. Once they reach him they are slaughtered, just incinerated in an instant. Heimdall leaps in stabbing Surtur in the back but is quickly tossed aside and killed as well. LoKing is able to blast Amora back with Odin’s staff getting the win over her he wanted so bad but Surtur is lumbering toward him.

Back on Hildstalf Thor’s eye open, now glowing orbs. Mjohnir flies to him and they take off to Asgard moving faster than ever before.

On the battlefield LoKing is giving it everything he can against Surtur, blasting him with Odin’s staff but the Twilight Sword deflects the attacks. Amora watches on knowing that LoKing has no chance and Surtur will have destroyed another society. Surtur blasts fire at LoKing sending him to the ground the Odin illusion begins to fade. Loki cuts his big last stand promo, “I’m Loki Laufeyson, King of Asgard and while I stand none shall take this kingdom from me…” and so on. Thor is still rocketing past stars. Surtur lifts up the Sword and brings it down splitting the ground and sending lots of dust into the air.

Surtur looks around and calls to Amora. “Check for enchantments”, Amora fires out a spell over the area and Loki is detected trying to sneak away. Loki holds up the staff and Surtur breaks it in two before grabbing Loki and starts crushing him. Loki screams out as blood sprays from his mouth his skin turns frost giant blue (think great ape Vegeta crushing Goku but with fire). “You rule this land” scoffs Surtur. The bloody and burnt Loki sees something in the sky coming closer, he smirks “No, he does”.

ACT 3
BAM! Thor smashes Surtur in the side of the head driving him in the ground, the crippled Loki rolls from his hand. Thor flies straight up with lightning swirling around his hammer and comes down with a big smash to Surtur chest creating a shockwave that sends everything flying including magma from Surtur’s mouth. Surtur grabs the Twilight Sword and takes a swing at Thor who easily avoids. Thor fires down a big blast of lightning that Surtur deflects with the sword. Thor flies toward him and Surtur rears back with the sword and they have a hammer/sword collision that causes the ground below them to sink in (yet again think DBZ when big punches collide). Thor is knocked into a mountain from the impact. “You thought that little hammer could compare with this, a weapon that was made with the most powerful metals in existence, enchanted with dark magic and meant to end civilizations.” He charges up the sword and slashes with it sending a big fiery slice at Thor, who only gets clipped but it is enough to take the armor off one of his arms burning it and half his face (not Two-Face burnt but he is hurtin’ for certain, think injured Gohan fighting Cell which I thought of writing the next part). The rest of the slice splits the mountain that Thor had been knocked into.

Injury.jpg

Thor hears the voice of the energy boy telling him about the power he will gain and we get glimpses from some of the visions he had during the trials. Thor closes his eyes and clinches his fist, his hand begins to glow. Surtur approaches charging up his sword again. They both reach max power, Ka-me-ha-me-HA, energy battle.
Qk1SpWd.jpg
Thor starts sliding back; Surtur’s body is ablaze as he puts everything in this blast.

“Death of the last Asgardian” belts out Surtur as his blast has pushed Thor to the edge of Asgard. Surtur grins as the battle is his but suddenly his ankles are ensnared by shackles of energy, they also appear on his wrists. Surtur looks around and sees the culprit “Vegeta… mean Amora”, ok he doesn’t say that Vegeta part. “I’ve been saving a certain spell for you for a long time Surtur, for the day you die. I might not be able to kill you but I can contain you” as the shackles grow brighter Surtur's flames including the sword die out. “Damned Wit-” is all he can get out before, BLAM Thor-Force through the chest.

3336962-thor+-+god+of+thunder+009-007.jpg
THORGOT2012021-int-LR2-4-baab6.jpg

Surtur drops to a knee, magma leaking from his mouth. The force of the blast knocked Amora away and the spells starts to fade. Surtur grabs the sword and holds it up but gets his arm blasted off, the sword stabs into the ground next to him. Thor with his body glowing with the Thor-Force flies up to Surtur’s face. “Mercy” Surtur weakly says, before Thor takes his head clean off with big blast. Surtur’s giant body slumps down.

An exhausted Thor drops to his knees, Amora runs over to check on him. Thor is no longer glowing and we see the Thor-Force healed him. Amora makes note of this and Thor quickly flies back to the ruins. He collapses in front of his brother who has been laying there dying during the battle. Now I would have Thor not have any energy left to save him but since Loki will probably be showing up in Infinity War then Thor is able to muster enough energy to save his brother before passing out of top of him.

We are in Thor'’s POV as he is awoken by the sound of a ship idling near by. Thor sees a large figure emerging from the ruins of his home. As he tries to stand he is pulled down, “Don’t move brother” Loki whispers from underneath him. The figure returning to his ship with Tessarct in hand is of course THANOS. He is wearing the Gauntlet that was in the vault on his right hand. Thanos cracks the casing of the Space Gem off and the gem falls into his Gauntlet.

He would already have collected the Power Stone by killed the Nova Corps at the end of GotG 2, I imagine after they have completed the story in their movie similar to here they receive a distress call from Xandar but when they arrive the place is in ruins and everyone but Nova Prime is dead, then the Nova Centurions arrive thinking the Guardians did this but Prime stops them from attacking. Rider would join the Guardians as they go off to hunt down Thanos (leading to them showing up in Infinity War).

One of the post credit scenes for Spider-Man would have Thanos arrive at the Collector’s museum to get the Reality Stone. He would look to trade for it; the Collector has things in his collection along with the stone that keep Thanos from just trying to take it. Collector not wanting his shop destroyed again and seeing that Thanos did bring with him a rare item or creature (the last of its kind), a trade would be made. But just like in Thanos Quest the item would quickly become useless/die/fade away leaving a pissed Collector with nothing. Maybe Collector gives the Guardians a super dangerous weapon to kill Thanos when they arrive on his trail. This would of course be used by Stark and Ronda’s Cap Marvel to kill Thanos.

So Thanos has 3 stones and no longer needs a ship because he can go anywhere with the Space Gem, he teleports off.

“Who is that and where has he taken the Gem” Thor yells at Loki. “Someone you don’t want to know and should avoid” Loki mutters back. Amora was hiding and approaches the two, Loki tries to attack but Thor stops him. “She saved us” he notes, “She lead his attack and can’t be trusted, I should know“ Loki responds. “He’s right I can’t be trusted and for what I did I shall never return to Asgard”, she turns to go “But thank you for freeing me Thor” she blows Thor a kiss and a little pink heart floats over to Thor’s cheek. She walks off heading to a portal to leave as Thor and Loki sit in what is left of the city. The final line could be one of a few from Thor: “Looks like we better start putting this place back together”, “So, where is father?” or Loki: “Looks like we have a Titan to catch”.

Credits
Maybe for a mid-credits scene we get King Thor closing the Ragnarok book but before he can say anything we get the return of the being that destroyed Earth. Could be the Midgard Serpent or something like that, fuck if I know. Thor 4 would feature King Thor killing the Serpent in flash forwards throughout the movie. He would also die but his death would cause the full Thor-Force to release bringing life back to Midgard and the Girls of Thunder would work to protect it.

For the post credits scene Amora is drinking in a bar in Alfheim. Suddenly the door swings open and a large man carrying an axe drops a giant beast on the floor “I’ve killed the Bugbear (or some other creature), where is my payment”, the elves hand him money. He sits down next to Amora, “What are you having woman”, Amora looks at him out of the corner of her eye. He does get her to start talking but they are quickly interrupted by the arrival of Baron Zemo, Baron Mordo & one of the villains from Spider-Man let’s say Kraven to recruit them.

I would have Zemo show up in the credits for every movie with Avengers members in them since Phase 4 will be the Masters of Evil vs. Avengers in my mind. Zemo, Mordo, Kraven, Enchantress, Executioner, Klaw, Moonstone, Leader & Justin Hammer (they are broken out, no clue what Hammer would do but I want Sam Rockwell back).

Very impressive. I will read it all tomorrow when I get the opportunity. But just from quickly scanning it, it already sounds epic.

My Thor 3 & 4 write-up is still in the backburner. Have a few side projects I'm tinkering with as of the moment.

Marvel Hires Stephany Folsom to Write THOR: RAGNAROK

Stephany-Folsom-Thor-Ragnarok-Dragonlord.jpg

Stephany Folsom has been tapped to work on the script for Thor: Ragnarok. It’s the first move on the Marvel Studios project since early October, when Taika Waititi, who co-wrote and co-directed the vampire spoof What We Do In the Shadows, came on board to helm the project, the third installment of Marvel’s Thor movies.

Chris Hemsworth will be back as the Norse god of thunder for the film that is also due to feature a team-up with the Hulk. Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle previously worked on the script.

Folsom is the latest female writer to be brought into the Marvel stable, whose stock in trade is a genre that many think of as male-oriented. Marvel already had Nicole Perlman as a writer on Guardians of the Galaxy and she is now writing Captain Marvel with another female screenwriter, Meg LeFauve (Inside Out).

Folsom is best known for her 2013 Black List script 1969: A Space Odyssey or How Kubrick Learned to Stop Worrying and Land on the Moon. The drama earned high marks in its alternate-history telling of a publicist that convinces filmmaker Stanley Kubrick to work with NASA in order to fake the moon landing.

Folsom also wrote script for The Princess of North Sudan, Disney’s unique princess tale inspired by the true account of an American man claiming a territory in Africa and proclaiming himself and his family its royal rulers.

Cate Blanchett Joins the Cast of Marvel's THOR: RAGNAROK

Cate-Blanchett-Thor-Ragnarok-121015b-Dragonlord.jpg

Oscar winner Cate Blanchett, coming off her best actress nomination for the 1950s drama Carol, is in final negotiations to join Thor: Ragnarok, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. The move comes a little more than a week after the Marvel Studios project hired Stephany Folsom to work on the script.

It is unclear what character Blanchett would play but several sources say that Marvel has been on the hunt for a "bad-ass female." Taika Waititi, who co-wrote and co-directed the vampire spoof What We Do In the Shadows, is directing the project, the third installment of Marvel’s Thor movies. Chris Hemsworth will be back as the Norse god of thunder for the film that is also due to feature a team-up with the Hulk. Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on Nov. 3, 2017.

Marvel has always tried to go outside the box when it came to casting its movies (and went even further with the actors it hired for Doctor Strange) but the Thor movies always attracted top global talent, ranging from Anthony Hopkins to Idris Elba.

Blanchett, who won an Oscar last year for Blue Jasmine, is riding high this awards season with acclaim and nominations for her performance in Todd Haynes’ drama Carol. Blanchett is no stranger to the fanboy universe, having appeared in multiple Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films for Peter Jackson.

THOR: RAGNAROK to Have Marvel's First Major Female Villain?

Hela-Thor-Ragnarok-2-Dragonlord.jpg

We know Thor will be joined by the Hulk in his third solo outing, Thor: Ragnarok. We expect Loki to return, given his position of power at the conclusion of Thor: The Dark World. We've heard rumors that Valkyrie may make her debut. Now the website of gossip maven Elaine Lui is claiming to have rumors that Marvel Studios will include a major female villain in the film:

"I have heard that Marvel is also planning on bringing their first major female villain into their cinematic universe. I don't know who the character is for sure, but there are a couple likely candidates from Asgard: Amora the Enchantress, a sorceress; or Hela, Queen of the Dead."

The report seems to be speculating on who the villainess could be based on the available characters in the Marvel Universe, rather than on an information from sources, but these do seem to be the most likely candidates. Enchantress is one of Thor's oldest foes, and the Queen of the Dead would have a natural role in the events of the Asgardian Ragnarok.

They also seem to be speculating when they say the studio is looking for an actress who is "Cate Blanchett big," indicating that is the level of actress Marvel is looking for, but not necessarily that they've actually courted Blanchett for the role.

'Thor: Ragnarok' Rumored to Feature Marvel Studios' First Major Female Villain

Comments: This article is dated Nov. 12, 2015, I just forgot to post it. I'm posting it now in light of the recent report of Cate Blanchett joining the cast and could possibly be playing Hela.
