her eyes don’t need to be blue. You don’t have to have a connection with the song or another person based on blue eyes. It was HIS experience he had with someone who had blue eyes. The eye color is meaningless and you’re simply missing the point. You can put in any eye color there.


This movie is about love and Thor’s true love Jane Foster. The song is 100% applicable to the material at hand. The trailer even starts with thor running from child to adult. “Childhood memories” and all.

I think you’re really off on this one.

It also starts with him gazing longingly into Starlord's eyes and making out with some strange and being genuinely happy. And then the crazy ex shows up with a weapon....

and not just the lyrics; great song or not, that tune doesn't vibe with Thor. Sorry, just doesn't.

Great song.

And yet nearly 14 years later the first thing that comes to mind when I hear it is Adam Scott assessing Kathryn Hahn and their kids' a capella performance while driving in Step Brothers.



Forever recontextualized the song for me like how when I hear Rick Springfield's Jessie's Girl I always think of Molina, Tom Jane, John C. Reilly, Wahlberg con-gone-wrong scene in the great Boogie Nights.

I don't think Jane Foster is his true love. He seems more comparable with Sif.
 
As standalone films Thor has been trash so far 1 out of 3...and it's about to be 1 out of 4, even with the injection of The Guardians of the Galaxy. There was absolutely zero appeal from anything in that trailer, that made me want to see it. Yet it'll still make a billion dollars+ worldwide.
 
I'll watch it because I'm a Marvel fanboi, but the trailer really doesn't tell us squat. Also... who is the buff chick at the end?

I believe that it is Natalie Portman returning as She-Thor or whatever? It was their supposed to be "oh shit" moment.

ehhh. Prime Portman is amongst the elite beauty tier, just like Gal Gadot is, just as prime Famke Janssen was and many others.

It is fine if your taste is for curvy or thick only, but being able to appreciate beauty in many different forms (including a green bitch) is what Thor should be all about.

Life is far less boring if you can appreciate a beautiful woman in many different forms.

The God of Thunder needs cheeks that can clap.

Im not saying she isnt attractive... Im saying Thor settling for her would be unnatural

Did Natalie pump up her arms for this role? Her action figure looks thick. Armored man Thor's action figure arms look way less muscled.
