Other than that, this is effin awesome. RAgnarok was amazing, this guy knows how to direct. LOVE his humor, if any of you guys missed it, check the various fun clips the did with Hemsworth for promotion (like the ones with his "roommate) ) .

The best part of Thor 3 was Nat not being in it and minimal Earth time

I have confidence Marvel is smart enough not to bring her back

Outside of Robotech, Akira was the only anime I've ever liked. But Thor is the God of Thunder. He reigns supreme.
 
Excited as hell for this. Praying Loki is in it too. Not the same without him.
 
Loved Ragnarok, not sure I'm excited for more though. This should be a send off film.

Since he is legit dead and only past Loki with no memories past Avengers 1 exists

Don't know how that would work

It's a shame as Prime loki was developed so bringing a previous version back would suck

There's got to be a reason Loki threw a stick in the spokes of the timeline, by escaping with the tesseract.

Surely to keep the door open for a possible return?

He's a well written/acted character. Like Thanos in the sense he's an evil motherfucker, but you do have compassion for him.

Which says something after that despicable "mewling quim" or whatever speech he made to Natasha. That's about as evil as it gets.

Great actor. Perfect for the role.

 
Story wise Loki found a way out and took it

also gives Stark a reason to see dady

Reality wise it;s for a tv show

A TV show about Loki

with no other Thor characters

Loki on solo missions

I guess somebody wants that .. but why?

money

Loki along seems pointless to me

And she quite clearly and publicly noted she was sorry she took the role,which showed. And now she wants back?

Marvel has definitely opened the door to the idea of her coming back. She does seem interested based on 'where they seem to think the character may go'.

If Marvel is thinking of Hemsworth retiring from this franchise (which I am pretty sure he will soon) then lIkely this is his last Thor and maybe one or two cameos in other Marvel movies (maybe GoG and Dr. Strange) and the hand off. I am quite sure Marvel would be thrilled to have an actress of Natalie's stature take on the female Thor role.

Not saying I like it. I also think she sucked balls in this role and mailed it in. Just saying that I think that if she is in Thor 4 you can bet big money that they came to a new agreement for a long term deal with her which sees her become Thor in the next phase.

Of all the characters to be 'leigt dead' but also come back, Loki is the easiest one for writers to create a rationale for. He is the Trickster God after all.

Remember Thanos did not yet have the Reality Stone which you could argue would allow him to see any Reality from Fiction so it comes down to whether Loki's trickster powers were great enough to fool even someone as powerful and wise as Thanos. Lets recall Loki tricked Odin more than once who was on Thano's level or above in most regards. So to write Loki tricking Thanos might garner some nerd rage but it would not be inconsistent.

Or if you hate that Loki, knowing that he might not survive this may have found a way to protect his consciousness from death in the hopes it could one day merge with another version of himself. So his past self could receive a message from his future self (now dead) on how to retrieve and integrate his consciousness.

Lots of ways to bring Loki back that would not just be deus ex machina.

I assumed, via context, that "mewling quim" was an insult, not something you hear in modern language. I looked it up in the urban dictionary, and this is the official definition...

An insult used by Loki in the Avengers movie which roughly translates into modern English as 'Whining Cunt'.

I just hope Thor 4 takes a more serious tone. Thor Ragnorak was cool considering Thor 1 and 2 kind of sucked. It was still too much comedy and the MCU continues to make Hulk look weak.

I need the Thor from IW, but for a whole movie.

100% agreed. came off a bit slapstick to me at times. IW Thor up to Executioner Thor in Endgame was the GOAT

Again I wouldn't be surprised if we get something like that, this film is the team up with the Guardians and then the actual Guardians vol. 3 wont have Thor in it.

I think you could argue that's actually more the style Taika Waititi used in Ragnarok as well, I mean the Guardians films have a lot of banter in them but its more the banter of a dysfunctional family, Ragnarok is more ego's butting heads, Thor's against Loki, The Hulk and Valkyrie, doing the same with Thor and Quill would fit into that very nicely.

I mean 2023 is along time for Marvel to not feature the Guardians at all where as Thor 4 is sposed to come out in 2021, I'd guess those involved would be more than happy to be in a Thor film even if it means playing second fiddle to him somewhat.
