She's a good actress and has proven she can carry a movie. They just never developed her character in those first two Thor movies, which were weak to begin with. That has more to do with the writing than Portman.

She wanted out because the writing was shit and they weren't doing anything with her character. Now they are actually making good Thor movies and want to do something with her character.

Smaller unknown contained stories is the way they HAVE to go if they want to stay relevant. They can’t just be putting out iron man, captain America, and avengers 4,5,6. Id like to be optimistic, but i believe in the saying: if it's not broken, don't fix it.
 
Not really surprised. Aaron and Dauterman's run on their Thor won awards. I think it was a good story arc. I trust Taika to handle it appropriately.

Portman too small? Well that will go well with being a patient dying of Cancer if they follow that story too. And as long as Hemsworth is in it, it CAN'T fail.

Calling it now. This movie will do better than Shang Chi and The Eternals.
 
Couldn't they just pass the role to Sif since the actress is 5'9? Portman is too much a midget

I recently read a quote suggesting she said Valkerie is LGBT so maybe "Love and Thunder" refers to her and Portman having sexual relations.

I wouldn't mind Beta Ray Bill, but suspect he's too serious to replicate Thor's funny lines.
