Thomas Hearns vs. Julian Jackson at 154.

Gerald McClellan punched even harder than Julian. Why not have him instead for the hypothetical? Julian Jackson was not a boxers boxer... He just had the big punch, not much else.
I'm thinking that's why he specified 154. He boxed more before he moved up to MW. This is a great fantasy matchup. Due to tragedy Gerald never really got a chance to prove himself.

Hearns has it all going for him if they box, but if Julian can get inside those long arms and time him, Hearns is in trouble. But Julian has to walk through hell and Hearns straight punches are straight up pikes. If you fight Hearns you win though, and that seems to nearly always be the truth in his gights. Leonard, Duran, and Hagler each proved this through what to do and not to do.

Hearns would beat the Hawk. He was a much better boxer and had the reach to keep Julian at bay. He'd land big bombs on Jackson and KO him.

People keep comparing Jackson to McClellan using their fight as an example. McClellan was at his peak in that fight, Jackson was already slipping and was dealing with detached retinas etc.
