That's a good solid fight. Thank goodness. I was saying recently on HI's rankings that there needed to be more top 15 BW fights and this one will be fine. I'm just glad they didn't match up Almeida with Sterling.

I have trouble imagining that Joe Silva would book this one. They don't usually put prospects up against one another. It's a dream match-up nonetheless. I like Garbrandts boxing but Almeida just has a nasty all around game.

I hate saying things like this but I honestly would have rather seen each guy get a different matchup. Almeida vs. Caraway and Garbrandt vs. Lineker. I like both too much and want them to continue their runs but this matchup is for sure dynamite.

Haven't seen a lot of either guys fights, but from the few I have, I feel like Almeida is gonna get caught simply because he's too wild and sloppy and Codys boxing is pretty sharp and powerful.

Eventually Almeida was gonna get a wake up call about being too wild and careless, fighters like him always do. Hopefully after he'll adapt.
