My first tattoo was done by a biker in a trailer.

It's pretty classy and has aged exactly how you think it might have.

Its best to find an artist who does a certain style you're interested so you're on the right path. An old friend of mine has a "biomechanical" that looks like shit because the artist had no idea how to do them. Looks every bit of the $175 he spent on it.
