As a kid I used to hate it when my dad would watch this show. It was the old ones with Bob Vila and it just bored me to death.
But I’ve since learned to love home renovation shows and I have to say This Old House is easily the best. It’s not about the interior decorating like so many of the renovation shows these days. It’s more about how to do the individual jobs of a renovation and they walk you through how and why they’re doing everything they do.
Each home renovation they do is multiple episodes too whereas most of the other renovation shows are start to finish in one episode. This Old House takes its time to show you what they do.
The crew they have doing the renovations also seem like the absolute smartest people in the business.
