There are a host of reasons not to buckle to 1 fighter. McGoat has been an arrogant A$$h*le since he showed up on the scene. Even still, I like watching his fights and gave up on doubting him a long time ago. He's been given a pass for calling Zuffa "his partners" and running around like he's leading the Fertitas to riches beyond belief based on his hard work. It just isn't that way. If the Fertitas (and everyone's favorite whipping boy Dana) hadn't taken a chance with the UFC years ago, no one would have ever heard of MMA or Conor.
Conor has been given a pass on a lot of arrogant statements, and given 2 fights that he demanded that put the entire FW division on hold. The delay in the FW title race looks bad for the UFC and they know it. Conor must have had a clause in his contract that allowed him to choose a second fight against Diaz. The UFC went along with it because they knew it would sell. Unfortunately for Conor, he's now gotten so arrogant that he thinks he can skip out on contractual obligations. Bad move. Conor isn't their only draw. He's big, but in the end, you can only take so much shit from your employees.
