Social This is terrifying and will destroy human trust...

Never forget - they busted and prosecuted a dude for having AI generated CP.

Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.

Korean college coomers are ahead of the game. They are already creating AI pron of girls they like in their school and distributing it in places like telegram.

This is also why I think people are doing shady shit when they mention they go on telegram.
Fvck yeah science!

Music Industry plant + inherited totalitarian state = end of the world

Yeah I'd buy a ticket to that movie, hopefully no Michael Cera in it

Don't let this distract you from the fact Kim II Sung was born while the Titanic was sinking.

Still really has that uncanny valley effect. They're really not close to making believable stuff.

I could see it being pretty convincing though if you run it through a grainy black and white filter to mimic a night time security camera.

Something like this

I think the potential of AI is extremely overrated. There's always gonna be idiots who believe whatever they see but I think it'll mostly be novelty and coomer material. Plus there's lots of innovation to combat this stuff allready going on. Using block-chains to verify authenticity and what not.

Sure, keep believing that.

Neuralnet AI is in it's extreme infancy.. only been mainstream for about 2 years. Your conclusions are like someone looking at a wright flyer and saying aviation is overrated.

in pharma /life science its already getting huge.
It can do things so much faster.

one issue raised is "data pollution" which will be an issue probably in the future.

Zoom in on the hands and you can tell.

Ironic that human hands are the one thing AI can't replicate. It's like a metaphor or something.

Was gonna give you a like, but you missed this classic:

I'm not against having my mind changed. Would probably take someone dealing with the points I made instead of just saying "you'll see."

Currently it looks a bit too fake and obvious. To me. But a lot of old people can't tell the difference. An AI generated video of a cat making noodles is going to make your grandma think they really trained a cat to do that.

It is still kind of easy to detect that it is ai , most because that it look too perfect , almost plastic

This is what you said: "I think the potential of AI is extremely overrated. There's always gonna be idiots who believe whatever they see but I think it'll mostly be novelty and coomer material. WTF point is there to "deal with" here? Why couldn't AI fake a block-chain? Do you have block-chain verification for everything you currently believe? Where's the block-chain on the moon landing footage?

You'll see... (once you educate yourself a bit more).

Itll get 20 times crazier within the blink of an eye. People glued to social media wont be able to tell the difference. Most people will be easily fooled.

The way all this AI stuff is going is so weird and gross and yeah, scary. When I was younger it seemed like AI was touted as helping humanity with day to day life, which some of that is happening, but a lot of it seems like a way to control people and keep people from being able to do anything they want.

So many companies in entertainment, whether it's art, music, movies, books, are all using AI to cut as much costs as possible and take in as much money as possible. So any normal person who wants to pursue a career doing that is fucked and out of luck now, no one will hire anyone or just pay them bullshit.

And then yeah, deceiving and lying to people. I imagine if a country wanted to invade another and have its peoples' support, they could make a fake AI video of them being bombed or attacked, and then use that as fuel to go on the offensive. Also just fucking with people and get people arguing with one another, get everyone angry at each other.
