I'm a 15 year fan of this sport. I've seen special guys come up and go down. They all fell in some way or another, but they had earned their place.

This Conor fellow...

I never bought it. I never saw what made him so special. He's just a loud mouth with solid skills and a heart. He reminds me of Matt Brown or Chris Lytle, only smaller. I knew he would run into trouble with Nate, who wouldn't crumble on the first hard shot.

I was right. Nate made him look like a fool. He weathered his best shots and then clowned him with a level of toughness and skill Conor wasn't even aware of.

So beautiful. Go back to 145 and fight Frankie, Connor.

What made him special is he's damned good. The only issue was he fought a great boxer who outskilled him at his forte. If you're a 15 year veteran I'd think you'd know better but you're prob just a bum off the street who couldn't recognize martial arts if he got ktfo by some.

How do you see Conor vs Lawler going?

Do you see Conor running a title reign like GSP or Anderson did?

Honest questions.

Why is he so damned good? Because he hit a good counter on Aldo? That was impressive...
 
im just happy that connor nut-huggers are going to shut the fuck up.he has the most annoying fan-base.

Conor is good because he is aware. He is quick to react, recognizes telegraphed motions, has solid boxing, chin, power and a wide variety of techniques to pull from his arsenal. Above all that he had a fantastic mindset for the game.

He is easy to hit and has no ground game.

Extremely limited skill-set, that he has been lucky to not be completely exposed before this.

For all that, he is still vastly inferior to Anderson Silva, who possessed all of those traits and more.
 
This is so wonderful now that Holly Holm lost, the boxing fan boys can't say shit like any boxer will be a MMA champion easily.

good post but gotta disagree about heart. It's not like nate was a 170lb fighter He was an out of shape 155er who did not have to cut weight - same as conor. Conor folded when it got hard - plain and simple. Lets not forget conor is really a 155 fighting down a weight class.

He already is. He ko'd FW p4p #1 and is highest paid MMA fighter. He's already faced better comp than Silva too (not saying silva isn't good or Conor's better just an objective fact for showing how he is special)

No, they were both 155ers, both fighting without cutting. There is no excuse. Conor lost because Nate was better.
 
I mean, i thought he had serious holes in his game, and wasn't too impressed by the Mendes fight.

But Aldo is such a fucking beast, I can't take that away from Conor. I just can't.

conor hit him with his best stuff and nate survived. conor took a few hard shots, got wobbled then turned panic wrestler, gave up his back and tapped quickly.

Nate showed heart by walking through fire; conor not so much (as soon as he got hit hard and tired he folded).

Anderson beat Franklin, Henderson, Forrest, Marquart, Okami, Sonnen and then some during an unequaled UFC win streak. If you think Conor has already surpassed that, then I could give a fuck less about your posts, as well.
