I have come to understand these threads as a cultural gap to a country loosing its grip on reality with its focus on actor celebrities and all their delusions. Now its even changing to IG "celebrities" were the whole skill is making photoshopped pictures. It is not about skill anymore but pretending and media representation alone. It started with Bruce Lee , then the 80s (I LOVE the 80s) and so on.
It created a distortion from reality best seen in these fake tough guys. And as everyone sucks up to them they themselves feel validated.
Understanding this as a cultural trend is quite frightening as people take political advice from groups without any competence. The Kardashian effect. Its a sad development in dumbing down a whole country and it continues to get worse. The dominance of post modernism were it is not about skill or understanding.
