Connor and the UFC planned this all along to get him off the UFC 200 card and on the UFC New York card. They had to think of way to get Connor off the card and not look like he's ducking Diaz. another loss to Diaz would take more off Connor's shine than what is already lost... Also Dana was "supposed" to make a announcement for UFC 200 that would "blow our socks off" and it that must have fell through (GSP). Connor will defend his 145 belt on the New York card.
The UFC and Connor are the master of smoke and mirrors and things are not what they seem and here are some things to consider:
* Why would you build a guy up so much ...just to tear him down
* This is NOT really about money...do you know how much the UFC makes off Connor?? 10 mil is a drop in the bucket
* Dana says he the UFC still has a good relationship with Connor and money has destroyed many a relationship ( see Floyd Mayweather/Bob Arum)
* The UFC has gave up on the 200 card in favor of focus of a New York card
I am not fooled... Nor am I buying into this hype...I am just tired of it all. I miss the days when the UFC would put on good fights and we would tune in and watch. The UFC has damaged the sport of MMA with its lack of structure and discipline... Fighters work hard to get title shots and are promised them only to be brushed aside by a fighter that can TALK his way into a title shot without really earning the shot. Fighters work hard to earn their pay others come in and within a year get 10x those blue collar fighters make etc.. there is much more but I will stop there for time sake...I just tired of it all...not giving up on MMA I just want them to fix it.
