Francis went out there and put Stipe to sleep. I picked him to win and am happy he won. But come on, Francis only looked marginally better, which is very disappointing considering he had 3 years to improve his cardio and TDD.

Francis was breathing heavy by the end of the first round and was beginning to look labored before Stipe started lunging in and Francis knocked him out in the same way he has knocked all his opponents out. They lunge in, they miss, and Francis counters with an uppercut or hook that puts them to sleep or grounds them.

Francis was quickly heading to the same place he was at during his first fight with Stipe. Stipe did not fight intelligently and had he fought like that during their first fight he would have lost. However, that does not mean Francis' future opponents are going to not exploit the weaknesses he showed tonight.

Jones has never appeared hurt or rocked at LHW, there is no reason to believe his chin will not holdup at HW, it may not but he will absolutely make Francis pay for that cardio if he is not knocked out quickly.

Then there is his former training partner Cyril Gane who has flown under the radar due to only fighting once in 2020, but has taken very big shots from heavy handed HWs (Dontale Mays, JDS, Jairzinho). The guy has thus far appeared to have the best chin at HW, definitely has the best cardio at HW, and is trained by the same guy who taught Francis all his fundamentals and coached him through his first title fight.

Francis may get through Jones with his 2 round cardio, but Cyril will not let him and will definitely finish him if he is breathing heavily at the end of the first round. He better improve his cardio quickly or he will be a very short lived champion.

Lol anyone who thinks Ngannou is anything special is a casual buying the latest UFC Narrative... this was essentially handed to him on a platter: He beat a washed up decrepit Stipe now all of a sudden the holes in his game are nonexistent...

I picked Ngannou to get it done early for this same reason.

Gane doesn't have the best chin at HW. Ngannou has, by far.

Stuffed a take down. And took and back suplexed stipe. Lmao but only marginally better. Stipe tried to come in light so he could be quicker. And was the slowest person in the cage. And there werw total if 3 in there during the fight lmao

Your sure Jon's chin will hold up at HW against Frank, i'm not so sure. I'm also not sure if his chicken legs will hold up when Ngannou starts chopping at them with leg kicks.

Hyperbolic analysis. Stipe didn't do a god damn thing too Francis. Frank stuffed the takedown with ease than reversed it pounded Stipe from behind.

Ngannou just chose too fight slower. And Ngannous strengths as a fighter lead his opponent to look foolish....

Please stop using logic in here, it doesn't work. 90% of this forum are uneducated orangutans.

Stipe had a hell of a reign. He has a shot at a rematch and who knows1?

That said, as someone else said, embrace the hype!

Lol steep was the "GOAT" because he beat a buncha corpses at HW the division is void of talent and holes in your game rarely matter if you can take a punch and have power

Nope, he has improved drastically. However, he is still beatable. It's just that the division is so shallow at the moment that he might reign unchallenged for 3-4 years.

Drastically? Seriously? Do you even know what this means? Even if he did, you wouldn't be able to see it in 6 minutes you monkey.
