I don't think it means what half of you think it is. And I don't particularly like it as some argument ending shot to hurl at legitimate discussion.
Conor was asked why he think he lost, and he gave his reasons. The trash talk notwithstanding, yes, he had some problems with the rangier guy, yes he was sloppy with his "energy conservation".
The man isn't saying he lost because he threw the fight or the dog ate his contract, Geezus people

To be fair, if anybody is qualified to psycho-analyse fighters comments, it's Sherdog.

Sherdog cant handle anything a fighter says after they lose. They just want them to blow the fighter they picked to win. Anything less,a thread gets made about it.

Connor hasn't done any of that. He's gone from "Weight is no issue" to "It was simply me foiting a bigger man". And the whole time, he's kept the little shit-talk charade up against RDA and Aldo, AND is still doing everything he can to duck Edgar.

It's not some complex formula, if you want to be seen as humble, just shut up.
