Old one, on Dede Pederneiras (Aldo's coach) going on about how being polite and treating your opponent with respect, in the MMA of today, is "not good for business".

I wish people were mature enough to get interested in fights without all the soap opera crap.. It's so damn childish.

The UFC is a reality show that follows certain characters, Dana, Conor , Ronda etc. and once a month the monthly finale of the reality show is on PPV .

well GSP, Spider, Fedor didn't need to trashtalk to generate interest.
GSP sold more PPV's than anyone else.

But if you are a good talker & you can use it. Go for it
Conor make more money than anybody else.
Sonnen who was an average fighter got paid and had 3 title shot so...

Those three guys are pretty much legends of the sport though.
And someone like Conor McGregor comes along, with nothing more than a big mouth, and puts up even higher numbers.
Some goes with Chael.
Aldo was 10 years undefeated and most people had never even heard of him.
RDA has been beasting lately but people don't want to see him as the main event for UFC 200 simply because he doesn't talk much.

The UFC's so full of drama right now, it's like Mean Girls with fighters.
Respecting your opponent has always been a main aspect of all forms of martial arts, and it's sad to see that taken away in order to be replaced with this superficial, fabricated bickering.

Fair enough, I probably should have added a "relatively speaking" in there.
Conor's a decent fighter, and he's had a decent run up to the FW title, but you could say that about so many fighters, and not one of them managed to put up the numbers Conor did. Why? Because he has a big mouth. That is really his only differential from every other UFC champion.
Aldo was a FW champion for nearly 10 years, a far more impressive feat, and nobody really cared.
