Guns may be the ONLY policy area where Republicans actually represent the desires of their core constituents. The money they get from the NRA and similar organizations is a fraction of a percent of the money they get from billionaires, oil and gas, big finance, and all the other industries they carry water for. Republicans are demonstrably acting against the interests of their constituents in pretty much every other policy area.
