I'd like to know what the content is like, any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks. And if anyone has info on Crocop's DVD that would also be great.
Ok, I own this book Never got the chance to watch any TK instructionals but I guess this book must be similar in term of contents and techniqes. Anyways, Don`t expect anything fancy coming from TK. He`s first and foremost a Judoka who mix Judo Newasa with submission grappling in a very simple yet effective way. What I really like about TK is how he goes through the basic moves. He explain everything with good details and key points. While his moves might look very basic (armbars, chokes, keylocks, headlocks and the infamous "TK" guard & scissors) It is also good to remind how you don`t need the ultimate flashy guard or how to jump your opponent guard into a flying triangle in order to win or submit your opponent.
BTW DVD menu: Vol 1: Top Position, part 1 Vol 2: Top Position, part 2 Vol 3: Bottom Position Vol 4: Transitions & Counters Book chapters: 1) Kubikesa gatame 2) Kubi side position 3) Side position 4) Kamishiho (North south position) 5) Knee on the belly 6) Mount position 7) Kesa gatame 8) Gyakukesa gatame 9) TK back side position 10) TK scissors 11) Continuous moves
Like I said it depends in what are you looking for. Also keep in mind I never watched the videos before but following the book guide expect good but very simple & basic techniques.
Sounds interesting. Something cheaper ( though probably not as indepth) is Caol Uno's instructional. I got this one a while back & it's one of my favorites. Btw. Shooto have you ever seen this one ?
Jesus, where did you got that? That`s a classic right there. I see one copy at my gym but never in stores.
