They want $80 for this?

No, it's not.

Unless I'm with multiple people who can pitch in, and so I don't have to keep refreshing the stream, I don't buy PPVs. They're an utter fucking ripoff. Find a better model UFC.

Like i dont get why they dont just put it on TV or come up with a subscription plan.

Going to be one pathetic buy rate..

followed by Dana White claiming profits have never been higher.

For all the Dana White marks Dana doesn't own the UFC and not even his call. ESPN owns the PPVs. He actually called it out here.

Don’t like the card? Don’t buy it.
Think the card is to expensive? Don’t buy it.

I don’t blame blame you. There’s other ways to do things.

if been watching the UFC for years and have always purchased their fight cards but Jesus Christ I officially feel like I'm being taken advantage of. You have to pay for ESPN+ just to watch the fights and the price is already high. I purchased every ppv last year but I am officially starting to think its not worth it anymore.

Your talking about two guys that had a falling out and now HATE each other!
Yeah ! I even heard that one of the guys, this "Cyril" but with inverted vowels, also had inverted morals and is totally full of rage, folly, and cruelty ; that you just have to look at him to know what kind of a sick twisted monster he is.
I think his nickname is "the cannibal lord of despair baguette" or some french shit. True story.

And more importantly, he hates, HATES Francis with a passion, because he's jealous of his leather jacket which has flowers on it. He thinks that fighters shouldn't be payed so much that they can afford this kinda luxury though, and it just fuels his passionate rage more.

Yes, the UFC is preparing for negotiation war. After the relationship with Francis went south, the first fail safe was enacted, Cyril Gane gets an interim belt less than 5 months after Francis won the real belt. They have built and promoted a new star to erase Francis.

In the event Gane falls then PPV critique is the second fail safe of negotiation. They’ve been preparing for this since they disrespected Francis with the interim.

Every single year they have PPV’s that don’t do well, and they can choose which fighters serve as the sacrificial lambs within the process.

How would it look if this card sold 1mil buys? Ngannou would have serious leverage in negotiation, now what leverage will he really have if it sells just 450k? Then to ensure everything works out, they increase the price of PPV’s to lessen any hope of this being a highly successful card.

The UFC loves long term deals, and using Ngannou to carry this card and hurt his leverage will allow the UFC to save millions upon millions on a long term deal with Ngannou. Remember 500k-2mil additional payment a fight for Ngannou doesn’t seem like a large amount. Until you see that 500k-750k will many times pay for an entire fight night worth of talent.
Okay, I see, thanks for explaining bro.

Not even close imo... You pay to hang with friends I guess, everyone pitches in $10 but I'd much rather just drink and eat with friends while watching an old pride card for free then watch the fights the next day or just stream it in standard def or better if you find it... It's worth about $30 I'd say...

I already ordered it the other day. Hoping for a good show. I’m a big fan of Moreno and the main event has violence written all over it. I hope I don’t jinx it but I don’t see any way the main event goes to a decision.

Yep, it’s all intentional.

They raise the price of PPV’s right before Ngannou’s fight, then pair him with the least appealing male champion pair among casual fans.

then leave the main card bare so even hardcore fans are iffy about the card.

All by design
