Social They gave my son an insect to eat in school

They want us to embrace it, so we will eat insects. Nobody wants to eat bugs over steaks.

No, I am not against Capitalism for pointing out the globalists would prefer the cheapest option to feed the peasants so they can hoard more money.
What's the difference in businesses looking for cheaper ways to achieve the same goal and globalists aka corporations looking to cut the costs of business?

And if it were targeting to lower moral, it would never have a positive spin. It would be forced on us out of desperation. Of course growing up being told steaks are the best would have you preferring them over a new food source. I used to see Laotians comb the fields in Texas for grasshoppers when steak is everywhere. So yeah, some people do seem to prefer it.

this is Snowpiercer approved
Difference being that they didn't know what they were eating in Snowpiercer so it was played as a revolting twist. But with that in mind, why would the globalists at Netflix portray the bugs as gross and dehumanizing if they're supposed to be encouraging us to accept them in our diet?

Fried grasshopper is pretty good. Crunchy with a little flavor inside. Similar to boton ebi or a soft shell crab.

You're not really supposed to eat them like a starving lost camper. You dry them out and mill their little dehydrated carcasses into flour and then use that to make pancakes. Everyone loves pancakes.

John the Baptist ate locusts.

Mark 1:6
4 And so John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. 5 The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River. 6 John wore clothing made of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. 7 And this was his message: “After me comes the one more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie. 8 I baptize you with[e] water, but he will baptize you with[f] the Holy Spirit.”

So either John the Baptist was an unholy man, or you are full of shit and trying to make up biblical reasons for you being a little bitch.

You can eat them how you want, they're versatile which is another plus.

This is my first time hearing the "make the children eat bugs" conspiracy theory. What is the end game here? Does it have something to do with making them gay?

It's part of an overall push by African and Jungle Pride groups to get children to eat bugs.

The conspiracy goes:
  1. Children eat bugs
  2. Children are taught anti-science views
  3. Kony 2012
  4. Profit

eh, not sure this is a "push". We did this in high school too. A teacher brought in all sort of weird shit- chocolate covered ants and shit like that.

I do find it disgusting and terrifying that the globalists that occupy Maine continuously push their disgusting local sea bug on us like it's some sort of delicacy! They've even gotten a big enough foothold to create their own chain of restaurants named after these vile creatures.

I get where you are going with this, namely that the establishment is trying to condition us to eat insects so we wouldn't be eating massively green house causing livestock like cows. But I also think schools asking kids if they want to try insects is no big deal, because if schools never tried new things and just stuck to tradition, it would be dull and boring. Trying new things is not bad (depends on the thing ofcourse).

That's why I didn't make a big deal about it. It's not some onslaught of "Eat bugs or you're hitler," but there has been a steady stream of pro slant articles regarding the matter in the West.

I've seen the "eat bugs" propaganda for a few years now. Was even heavier up until about a year ago; BBC was running stories about how great it is, saw articles on it, so you know it was getting "the push," and it was obvious.

So they gave the kids grasshoppers in school today; 6th grade. I didn't make a deal about it, because my son actually talked about wanting to try it. Well, he did today, and he thought it was terrible.

So anyways the social push for people to start eating insects has reached middle school.

Should I be mad they gave my kid a chile lime grasshopper today? Has everybody noticed this push over the last few years?

For those wondering what "a push" looks like:

Im not saying the teacher got direct orders from a shadowy government figure (come on) to make these kids eat bugs.. That's not really how it works. It does work through conditioning through "respected" "news" sources like bbc, or washpo.

The irony here is that the whole thing is based on this idea that eating insects will both solve environmental issue as well as well as solve world hunger.

But ultimately solving world hunger will allow the population to flourish, which will lead to an ever increasing load on the environment.

So in a very real sense doing things like this will actually cause an eventual net increase in suffering.

It’s the same kind of contradictory bullshit as “American lifestyles are destroying the environment faster than any other, but also we need to move as many people from around the world into America so they can be free from suffering and enjoy the American lifestyle.”

it's affordable protein that's better for the environment. these are facts not some dorky agenda. it's good for all of us if future generations are brought up with this being normal instead of having an irrational bias towards insect protein.

Not really, bro. I would suggest checking out Thomas Malthus.

i remember trying different bugs, chocolate covered and otherwise when i was in school... maybe kindergarten. no big thing, it was a way to learn about other cultures and lifestyles if i recall correctly...

What does "pro slant" mean?
