Islam is fighting a very tough opponent. It was ilia that was gifted a light touch opponent, not only was Charles the best possible matchup for ilia, but he even managed to avoid the main threat to him by lobbying to Paddy, if islam pulled that shit he’d be shredded by sherdog lol.
 
He should return just for the sake of it, we can agree that Oliveira wasnt the #1 contender, but what Topuria did was great and we can only dream of Topuria vs Makhachev, the speed and power did just fine at LW, so far.

He did great, but Olives had 10 loses already, 35 years old and over 40 fights, father time is undefeated, and the #1 guy is Tsarukyan, division got interesting, but even after this i still believe he wont rule LW for too long.

I don't think Paddy is a bad choice, actually I am very glad they went with him. All the other guys are older and now scared they might lose to this guy while paddy is young, cocky and wants the same shit Ilia now has which is superstardom. I think Paddy is going to be a really tough fight for Ilia or at least I think he is smart enough to really have a plan to try to beat him and not "wing it" like we saw tonight.

Arman deserves the shot, paddy would’ve been a better and more interesting matchup than Charles, but you can’t do Charles then paddy…merit has to factor in at some point.

Its true but I don't think Arman really wants it that bad. He is an incredible athlete but how do you miss weight on Islam, he like really fucked up Ilams career with that move?

Guys take it easy LOL. Islam doesn’t leave openings Olivera does standing and two, if he got Ilia down which he likely would, he easily dominate him on the ground.

It’s a fight Ilia a punchers chance, probably the best pouches chance of anyone. But Islam is a tough match up for him
