Conor McGregor - Hated even though he's the one guy on this list that somehow combines incredible skill and fight IQ while always delivering a seemingly impossible level of excitement on a consistent basis.

Mike Perry - Despised as a low IQ brawler.

Justin Gaethje - more liked but called an idiot for sacrificing his health with his brawling style and implored to fight less exciting.

Ngannou - mocked as a wild brawler that fights so aggressively that it gasses him out (because this happened exactly once against the arguable HW GOAT).

Fighters like Wonderboy and Woodley are considered super boring despite having several highlight reel KOs a piece in their careers.

The only fighters that are immune are the new shiny object fighters like Zabit that can do no wrong, but rest assured with enough time the tides will turn on him as well.

Perry is exactly what you said. Plus, he’s just not that good.

No one says that about Ngannou. More that he is really green and lacks any sort of grappling knowledge.

Some guys have a style which is to inflict as much damage as possible as soon as the bell rings. Of course those are the guys who will be consistently exciting,but that approach isnt always going to work for everyone. You have to pack serious heat to pull that off.
