A quick search reveals that the rate of complications is high. Apparently the recipients can get nerve damage, permanent pain and even issues using their legs, the worst outcome being paralysis. I don't imagine the worst case scenario happens very often, but it's on the table. Not surprising considering it involves breaking the bones and keeping them broken for months on end so that new bone can grow in the gap. The human body can adapt to a lot of nonsense but even that is pretty extreme.
People have been doing this sort of thing for thousands of years, which is wild.
Before this, it was neck rings and elongated skulls.
It's worse because fat chicks can lose weight but short men have no options (outside of this insane surgery)I do feel for the manlets sometimes. But then I think they are like the fat chicks of the male world.
