Man, all these pro fighters who mount up against unimaginable pressure and fight half naked in a cage in internationally televised matches are cowards. All of them, not just Izzy.

It's clear that pro MMA fighters are all weak minded ppl who couldn't cut it on Sherdog. Great point!

Different sport, for many 2 wins for Izzy (extremely close decision), izzy had him on skates both times he lost and Perreira being saved by judge and bell. Also Izzy has proven that he is superior mixed-martial artist. Nothing surprising about Perreira being KO-ed, nothing to stop it this time. Nobody is surprised, not matter how they act.

Not to say he accepted rematch few months after being TKO-ed by the same dude, which even Perreira called rushed decision and that it is not good for Izzy, that his pride is gonna ruin him… Well there you go.

In comparison, Silva weighed in at 206lbs against Irvin and 205lbs against Griffin in his 2 LHW outings

That Alex was given a gift ride to the title shot FOR Izzy to beat him. He got the gift ride AND the title. The second time around in MMA he'd have to actually work his way up somewhere. Izzy earned an immediate rematch with his track record. Alex is free to go develop a similar track record to get similar respect and favours.

Or, maybe you're right and he's just not as brave as you are.

Silva was head and shoulders above Izzy. He was a showman. Izzy’s comeback victory against Pereira is a great story about never giving in to a formidable rival, but that’s where it ends. Now that Izzy is ahead he doesn’t wanna risk it again, whereas Pereira did it without even thinking.

Gastelum gave him a fight. What else was there? I mean sure you can say that that’s down to Izzy’s skill that he was that far ahead. But now he’s not that far ahead so why doesn’t he want to fight?

so the verdict here is that Izzy is too good and his fault was to make Whittaker, Costa, Romero, Marvin, Cannonier look as if they were never any good, he should have keep those fights more competitive giving away some rounds ... sounds about right

Huge Respect for Izzy after he flatlined Alex, but Jones is a fight Izzy loses 99.9 Times out of 100 imho. Only a freak accident or the luckiest shot of All time could save Izzy.

I don't think it was a fluke given that he hurt Alex in the two previous matches as well BUT I think a trilogy fight between then is clearly what should happen for the sports legitimacy, the only reason why it might not is because Izzy and the UFC are afraid he might loose and want to run with this result IMHO, its needed to show who is better and its also clearly the biggest PPV draw.

It does again show you the power of having the promoter on your side, get rematches when you want, avoid them when you want, look at Jon Jones.

I would say as well really if you have confidence in Izzy as a fan you should want a 3rd fight, winning a third fight shows superiority in MMA and I think would build a legit case as the MW GOAT. Claiming you want it at LHW years latter is bullshit IMHO, a way of avoiding it.
