For the 165lb belt. It'll be a new weight class. WW will become 175lb.
 
Interesting theory. But wouldn't this require reworking all the way up to having a new superheavyweight?
 
It will be a surprise belt..If McGregor wins, 165lbs belt exist.

If Nate Diaz wins 165 belt doesn't exist.

Why are they not fighting at 155? Nate always fights at that weight. This is a huge disadvantage for McGregor in the cardio department. If McGregor doesn't throw hay makers and boxes and mixes kicks, he will win. I think this one goes four rounds of a war and McGregor knocks out Diaz with left uppercut.

You're assuming they are going to give a non-title fight the main over a title fight. I am not ruling that out, this is the UFC, but I think it's unrealistic.
 
I don't think it's as simple as them making a new weight class. The weight classes are actually defined by the athletic comissions and the unified rules, so I really doubt a new belt can be willed into existence in a matter of months.
 
I agree. I would rather see Conor face Edgar or if he doesn't and Fights Nate then Edgar vs. Aldo rematch.
