I think he was counting on getting one of those Diego Sanchez/Leonard Garcia 'press forward, miss punches and eat strikes' decisions but the judges didn't give him any credit for the 'miss punches' part cause he didn't throw any.

He just became one of my least favorite fighters to watch. He is slow, un-athletic and avoids the fight and has zero offense. I can say I am more entertained watching Cathal Pendred.

That fight was boring because of Alvey, just like the Diaz Condit fight was boring because of Diaz.

If you don't have the skills to stop an opponent winning via a boring technique or plan, it's on you.

Alvey and Diaz are the boring ones.

Yea I wouldnt be surprised if he gets cut for that fight.I like Sam but he cant just go the whole fight doing nothing while looking for the perfect ko.

Alvey is just as boring. All he does is plod around waiting an eternity to throw a left hook, he doesn't seem to have any other weapons in his arsenal. Way too passive and that smiling gimmick is cringe-worthy, such a try-hard.
