The WW contenders need to fight

Ppl complain abt Woodley not fighting, myself included, but none of the WW contenders really are true #1 contenders.

What needs to happen is RDA, Colby, Till and Usman idc the combination but those 4 need to fight each other. The 2 winners would have a better case as a title contender.

I miss the days of Chuck liddell fighting everyone and anyone, going to pride, stepping aside for Ken vs Tito...doesn't wait around but fights tough Babalu coming off the shogun win...That's what made Chuck such a star, he was a true #1 contender if there ever was one.

These days guys like Ngannou get one legit win and they're the next big thing, biggest contender ever lol Same with Till, guy has one legit win over Cowboy who was on a 3 fight losing streak and now he's just sitting on the sideline..

Ppl complain abt champions but Challengers need to earn their shot too
 
Woodley definitely needs to sign to fight one of them (preferably RDA) but yeah the rest need to start knockibg eachother outta contention
 
yes, when guys earning $40k per fight are told they can be millionaires if they win and defend a title, they start doing the math; should i hold out for a title shot, or fight the #3?

not only is the pay not better to fight other contenders, they have
  1. let some guys hold out successfully (like Woodley did) and
  2. even worse, have not given title shots to guys who have clearly earned it
increased risk and lowered the reward for fighting other contenders. it's almost like UFC has consciously chosen to reward sitting out (though i'm confident they didn't; they just dumbed their way into this conundrum).

hard to blame the fighters when you look at it from this perspective, eh?

I'll take Rafa over Tyron and Colby right now. I think his toughest matchup at WW is probably someone like Wonderboy, but I can see RDA taking that title this year if they give him a shot.
 
That division sucks since USADA.

And the Best WW is now fighting for Bellator.

Woodley can fight whoever tf he wants. I'd prefer Colby, because that'd be entertaining.

He is not the best. He is fighting for Bellator because he was destroyed in the UFC. He left the UFC on a 2 fight losing streak, so how can he be the best because he beat a couple of dudes in the Beta Leagues? LOL
 
Everybody needs to fight everybody, and that includes tyrone. The dude has done nothing but campaign for "money fights" since he won the title, which he earned based on a dubious streak to begin with, and has only fought the top contenders after no one expressed interest in fighting him (bisping, st pierre, diaz, et al).
Any combination of the fighters you mentioned, plus morning t-wood would really help clarify the picture at ww.

He beat the guy who is currently the ufc ww champion and made it look easy; he also beat the previous #1 contender, maia, and would likely be favored vs the majority of the ufc's top ten.

There is no such thing as a #1 contender anymore.

You can have the greatest winning streak and you can still get snubbed. Picky champs and "money" fights ruined contendership.

Also RDA is way ahead of the rest. He should be next.
 
RDA has earned a shot.

Those other guys and that fool colby need to fight each other.

Till/Ponzi vs Colby
RDA vs Woodley

Obvious fights are obvious.
 
Till isn't a contender.

I want to see champions fight. If Tyron wants to be the goat WW, he needs to fight contenders. Having contenders constantly knock each other out of contention results in inactive champions, and no one to fight when one contender is no longer deserving of fighting for the belt, and the winning contender needs time off for injuries.

Tyron could fight RDA or Covington and either fight would make sense. If these guys aren't deserving, then Tyron can whoop their ass and have a quick turn around.

The more contenders a champion goes through, the more deserving he is of being the best of his division.

That's what I like about DJ. Every time someone gets close to contendership, DJ fights them and obliterates them.

Usman has been campaigning for those fights, but no one will accept so far lol
