The War Room Bet Thread

1. The exact statement the bet is premised upon
2. Stance each poster is taking in regards to the statement
3. The date the bet will be decided
4. The reward/punishment for the winner/loser
5. The duration of the reward/punishment before I will post it.
6 (OPTIONAL) A situation which makes the bet void that isn't clear with the content in 1 & 2. This needs to be very clear if included.

1. Trump's favorability rating Real Clear Politics average is 10+ favorable margin at one point before Labor Day (1/18/17 it was 41 approve-49.5 disapprove which is +8.5 unfavorable)

You may find luck posting it here but I found the majority of posters got their bet by scouting for it in a thread, quoting them, and posting it in here asking for the bet. You kinda put someone on the spot about something they acted so sure of in another thread.

Yeah, i just threw it out to see if it gets a nibble -- im not even sure how we would structure it. Just get people thinking and im open to suggestions. If i bring it up in a thread (2 relevant ones going on right now) i think it will just get the angry right wingers to go loopy with the angry left coming in with name calling and then it just gets out of hand.

We definitely need some more open bets so whatever works. Hopefully DSL answers us back so we have at least one bet up.

Meh. OK. I think it could be made more specific and be something we agree on, but I'll accept as is. I'm officially in on this if he accepts. His offer was very generous.

Just to clarify, when we say the +10 average margin, you are talking about his favorable number being ten points higher than his unfavorable number?

I took it to mean his favorable number would be up 10% from where it is at the start of day, Inauguration Day.

I think I could make this clearer then if you mean that. His favorability was 41.8 average on RCP 1/20/17 so you would win if you hit average at 51.8. Does that sound right?
